Here goes - but probably will be totally wrong: It's the team I would like to see based on going for a win from the start Roos J Clarke Lockyer Hartley Brown Bodin Lines Sinclair Montano Taylor Harrison Bench (even harder to call !!) Easter, Gaffney, Mildenhall, Roberts, Leadbitter, O Clarke, Moore

I haven't rated Mildenhall for ages - as I said it's my team - and DC has done it before - dropped Mildenhall beg of last season and immediately put in Chapman - but as I said it's anyone's guess what DC will do !

I don't think he should be, but I think Mildy will be dropped tomorrow.
Same as Southend other than that I reckon.

I'd expect any player we put on that pitch would do well at the moment so not worried about the personnel, its the formation that will be a deciding factor. Hope Billy Bods and Leads impress with their much needed pace in the team, both haven't started the season well imo.

Would like to see us pick the right team from the start so we don't have to waste the first 45 minutes again. It would be nice to see a 4-4-2 formation and no need to use any substitutions. I really don't see how you need to play both Ollie Clarke and Sinclair. One or the other for me and Easter to start and surely Matty T as well. The biggest choice for DC is Mildy or Roos. No brainer for me based on Tuesday its got to be Mildy BUT would I be surprised to see Roos....No. Picking DC's team is on par with the difficulty in winning the Lottery in the nicest possible way!!!

You say start 4-4-2 but then say you'd like to see Easter in the team but where's he going to fit into that formation? Problem for DC is the 3 most impressive midfielders so far this season are Easter, Sincs & Lines, the worse Bodin (could his return to Swindon finally kick start his season?) and Moore out injured so playing with wingers is a problem. Swindon have won the last 4 home games so stopping them from taking an early lead will probably be DC's aim, so I expect a 5-3-2 formation, or 5-2-1-2, if DC is brave enough to start with Easter. Personally, I'd start Roberts over Leads, but that's not usually DC's way.

I think you are right Topper Gas. Personally I would play the 4-4-2 in a slightly different way and sacrifice the out of form Bodin for Easter and play with one winger Montano. Mildenhall
Roberts Lockyer Hartley Brown
Sinclair
Lines Easter Montano
Harrison Taylor
Fully expect the usual "stop them from scoring" first half as you say, it going a bit wrong and three substitutions to put it right. Love you to be wrong.

Mildy's from Swindon. Even if DC thinks he won't give him another game (like he seemed to last season and the season before) I can't see him rushing Roos in for tomorrow.

Agree with this, more chance of me becoming a ted than anyone getting the starting team and bench right.

Love you to be wrong. I'm not knocking you Steve but but that would be the softest Rovers history in history. I can just visualise Swindon cutting down the middle like a knife through butter? Admittedly we are without a bit of steel in the middle, that's why I feel that is the area which needs strengthening as is wide left. So.. .Mildenhall leadbitter..Lockyer..Hartley..Brown Clarke Bodin..Lines...Sinclair Taylor...Harrison its a bit of an odd line up but play it narrow with an option for width as well and with Clarke just in front of the defence for cover lets Brown or Leadbitter link up midfield, also cover for Lines.

The players have had a lot of games so far this season and the cancelled Walsall game might be a welcome breather for the squad ,however ,it's a squad game so some more tired players might get changed around.
I'd imagine mildenhall will keep his place.
Conner may be used to give either brown or leadbitter a rest ,be that from the start or later in the game.
Lockyer may benefit from a rest ? Whilst not knocking him his reaction time for a couple of chelsea goals was a bit slow and that may be fatigue...or a sign he needs to step up a bit more if he wants to climb the ladder in the future (?)....so potentially Clarke or mcChrystal could partner Hartley (?)
Can Sinclair, clarke and lines play another game at high tempo ?.....maybe two will play with the other on the bench perhaps. Or perhaps either mansell or Lawrence may be back in contention.
Easter has done well in the deeper role but is he upto 90 minutes ? ....probably a sub.
Taylor will start ...Harrison may start but may be on the bench and come on for half an hour.
Bodin,gaffney,montano,james....one of them will play.
Clarke, yates and stewart will be in the dugout ..... :-)
