This is a sh** story recycled from last year, afaict. Usual drip of crap we get to make us used to the idea.
“The thing that has tended to upset some fans of our clubs is in respect of this being the thin end of the wedge and the forerunner for B teams potentially coming into the Football League pyramid. It isn’t.
“The two things are completely separate and I think ultimately it is the fear of that which is causing the majority of the unrest. I think the majority of our fans actually understand that creating the opportunity for young players, particularly if they are English, will help us all on an international basis.”
Bullshit, liar.

Horrible newspaper, horrible "EFL" CEO and utterly pathetic to say that the majority of fans support this nonsense.
Also (TBF not Harvey's fault) they've shown a picture of League 1 champions Wigan as "lifting the FL trophy" - numpties.

I can't recall any mention of the two Scottish clubs joining the FL, I thought the impression they gave was that it would be just extra 8 National League sides making up the additional numbers required? Not sure why you'd consider the Daily Telegraph horrible, as with the Guardian they seem one of the better papers.

It was suggested adding 8 teams and standardisinv the division at 20 That i am not massively against. It was never said that the 8 teams would be from the conference thst was just one possi ility (but should be the only one). B trams and/or Celtic Rangers were also mooted for the spots

Celtic and Rangers cannot "just join". They are in the Scottish FA, not the English FA. They might try but the Scotish FA will stop them by going to FiFa.
As for 20 team leagues, are the clubs going to charge the same for tickets even though they will have 4 games LESS each season. Personally I think we have the best league in the world. We don't need it to be "modernised", because modernised usually means f**k it up. If Celtic and Rangers did join how many fans from say Crawley or Plymouth would bother to go to watch them play Celtic in Glasgow? and how many jocks would turn up at the Mem without tickets, and how much extra would our police bill be?
FFS leave the game alone

FFS leave the game alone The Premier League will be getting very excited at the prospect of Celtic v Liverpool and Man U v Rangers. In fact there are loads of big new matches for the Old Firm against Man C, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool. It'll be worth millions and millions in TV rights. Get them straight in the Championship, give them a huge parachute payment to ease their promotions, and KER CHING! I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

I would assume after coming from a regional league the Glasgow clubs would have to join national league north....and earn the right to get into the football league. The same should apply to premier academy teams. If any league becomes an invitation based system then that's the end of competitive football.
As a thing to ponder......currently the English premier league is the place for the stars to play to earn big money and get big TV audiences. This could all change ,China will soon have a top flight league full of world class players and managers....it will be where sky will be going to televise games....in fact don't even be surprised to see liverpool playing in that league at a "surrogate" home amongst other popular clubs... after all with huge populations liverpool could play in 150,000 stadiums there in the future........ The non popular clubs like Sunderland for example might find themselves abandoned by sky and the big clubs and left with huge debts and overheads.......
It could happen....

Special hatred for the Torygraph though as they are sponsored by the Chinese government to write pro-China editorials. Their billionaire owners also live in the next door Channel Island to another tax-dodger we know and love.....
