Funny when we were at chelsea I said to my mate that I wonder whether our support and the way we played and Waels contacts might see us get a chance of a loan deal from them, and here we are, both unknown names but I bet they are quality players. Boateng was well thought of at plymuff and when he went back lots of their fans thought it coincided with their drop in form. Interesting times.

Wow I leave my computer for a few hours and come back to see this. Very good work methinks by DC and SH. No doubt Wael had a hand in things. Exciting times ahead and really looking forward to the Rochdale game.

I hope no one chucks their toys out of the pram if the Chelsea lads decide to support their compadre on loan at AG if we don't have a game. Likewise if their chap comes to see how our two are doing at the Mem I hope we treat him with respect.

So how do we fit these lads in then. I'd definitely give the wing backs system another chance having pretty much lost faith in it. With 2 quality (we hope) midfielders to put in, a pacey left footed defender and a new wing back who won all if his clubs player of the season awards last time round we could look completely different with this system. Or I like the look of a diamond shape in the midfield with Boateng holding, Lines and Colkett in the middle and Easter at the top. With a back four and Taylor and Harrison up front. Could also work too but not something DC has done a lot. Both options leave little room for wingers however which leaves Bodin, Monty and Moore in the dark... We have over a week to blood them in to the team now and get it right for Rochdale, whatever happens I'm pretty pleased with today, despite no permanent signings. Great to get good links with top prem sides too. I think we could see something like: ___________Roos __Lockyer_Hartley_JCS Roberts___________Brown ___Lines_Boateng_Colkett ______Taylor___Harrison Not initially as DC tends ease new players in but that line-up looks like something to aspire to.

Clarke-Salter is a tremendous coup!
One of the best players for his age in the country.
I'm surprised he hasn't gone to a Championship club.
Although he plays in different positions to Kasey Palmer and Tammy Abraham who are at Huddersfield and the sh** on loan, he is as highly regarded as they are.
I don't much about Colkett but from the clips I've seen looks to have that bit of class that we've been lacking in the middle of the park.
Great acquisitions from DC and Wael

OTIB: On the other hand. Millions upon millions spent, tens of millions of debt having to be wrote off every year by daddy, Bristol Sport FC, they don't own "their" stadium, selling their best player to Championship rivals, despite stating they won't, and still a club that yo-yo between the Championship and League One. I honestly don't understand why they think they're so high and mighty. Some Sh1!heads today were claiming they were a bigger club than Sheffield United and Coventry, where do they get there scandalous delusions of grandeur from?

Why do posters keep on referring to the 82er's, TBH I couldn't give a toss about them as long as we keep progressing in our own way.
Fair play to DC/Weal whilst we had our doubts these players seem decent signings, the feel good factor still seems to be continuing, we just need an announcement soon about the UWE to keep it going.

Don't underestimate the reputation of the tremendous support this club has, it will not have gone unnoticed at Stamford Bridge or anywhere else for that matter. Yes i do believe those lovely chaps from bs3 said we were bloody good blokes, or something along those lines I'm from BS3 (well born there) and yes we are bloody good blokes

Looking at the clips of Jake Clarke-Salter, he should be just what we need to stop the numerous crosses that we fail to deal with.

I doubt there will have been a fee involved. The parent club need their young players to play in men's football where something is at stake and with a decent sized passionate support. Playing technical youth games on training grounds only develop players to a certain degree. Being with us will be a whole new experience for these lads, and will knock them into shape. We are doing Chelsea as much of a favour as them us. There's no chance we will ever keep these 2 lads, but we may be in with a chance with Boetang, Roberts and Roos. I suspect you are right with regards to the chelsea pair, but it used to be commonplace certainly for lower league clubs to have an arrangement fee paid You mean Chelsea PAID us to take their players? Get in! Result!!
