Palace were actively looking to sell Boateng this summer, so maybe the fee was too high for a side at our level to take a risk on. Probably about letting his contract run on a bit longer before they bring their price down. Were they? From what I've heard he is very highly thought of at Palace and is out getting games so he's ready for the first team. I don't really get DC's comments because there is no chance in hell of us signing the Chelsea lads, Jake Clarke-Salter especially, he has been tipped to replace John Terry in the long term.

I'm more concerned with developments off the field. For wael to spend any money the stadium needs to be a year away, otherwise it's effectively wasted. Championship football at the mem whilst not impossible is certainly not ideal. I get the feeling it's a holding operation at present. Youre right, Bournemouth play prem football in thier 12,000 seater... we could host championship football but be much sweeter if we could do it in a nice stadium in a cople years.

We would get 3 years and would then be forced to comply with all seater law, that's if we were still in there. Being forced to get the mem all seater doesn't even bear thinking about.
