Thing is i think waels post makes perfect sense, if he's bound by a confidentiality clause then a way around it would be to post we are definitely getting a new stadium, but adding the if not somewhere else bit as a way of saying i never disclosed anything Then again perhaps he was naive enough to think a PM conversation with a fan was just that? Not sure what the OP is trying to gain by putting this all over FB/the forum assuming Wael didn't want it made public. What happens now if the UWE decide they've had enough being messed about by Rovers and Wael can't find another suitable plot of land? I think Wael knows exactly what he was doing and who he was dealing with.

I guess time will time but if he just wanted to spread a rumour why not just use the usual sources of rumours on here that we're looking elsewhere so it can't be traced directly back to him.

It's a very transparent way of saying we're still in negotiations. He's not committed to UWE, but he's not canned it off either. it's private so he can shrug it off as being leaked, but its public enough that the fans can see it for what it is.
It's very clever, he's not revealed anything but done enough to quintessentially give an update which nobody can really criticise him too much for.
What he does appear to reveal reading between the lines is a sentiment of 'I've had enough of these idiots at UWE.'
I think we're very lucky to have Wael.

Please no. Not another new stadium plan. It can't be true. All the planning, protests, hearings, appeals, hope, disappointment and the 300 page threads you feel you have to read which tell you nothing. Funnily enough, I was listening to "Five Years" by David Bowie today. He was warning me from the grave. EDIT: By the way, you youngsters, you should listen to that song. It's a masterpiece. Better than three more years of squabbling with UWE. Another site allows us to be masters of our own destiny. The plans we want without interference from an educational institution with vested interests.

Seems someone is playing hardball and I'm guessing it's UWE. I won't be expecting progress anytime soon then!

I am expecting more silence followed by an announcement uwe is dead but we have purchased another site. I very much doubt the bad news will be broken without a sugar pill.

I think I've solved the algebra.... a bit like that pythagarous dude did back in 1976:
if plan 'a' is actually plan 'b',and if plan 'b' is actually plan 'c'....
then plan 'c' must therefore be plan 'f'....

Either he's clever and just used a fan or he's a bit naive having been hidden away working for his father's bank and has slipped up.

Until we get pp there's no way we can take the chance of buying a site.

As long as the bogs are better in the new place.. it was positively medieval in there at the last game.

The new ladies' toilets behind the Blackthorn End seemed to have been designed for someone incredibly tall and incredibly thin. Even Twiggy would struggle to turn round in one of those cubicles to shut the door when it's open, so because you can't get in when it's shut you have to half-open it and do a weird vertical limbo around the thing to get in and close the door. I wouldn't be surprised if the cleaners have got round this by not bothering at all - the far cubicle has been without a lock for at least the last two games, and I'd swear the mucky layer of partial footprints on the bottom half of the door expands with each game rather than renews. These footprints are caused by the need to balance over the loo on one leg while trying to keep the door shut with the other. Whole footprints are a rarity (and probably a physical impossibility!) due to the extreme leg length required to perform the manoeuvre. I appreciate the investment, but next time would like something that's an improvement on a portabog and not something that can only be harbouring ambitions of becoming one

See i prefer proper football bogs, remember em a couple of walls no roof and a pish trough on the floor, although not very sanitary by today one's at least at eastvile you knew after a 1/2 time pish no bugs could live on your shoes for yonks .

Bogs is difficult to plan as you either have full time attendants, or those metal box ones that self clean between users, but then most would complain for having to spend a penny for the luxury of having a clean bog to sit on, as i said we men is lucky as we dont have issues peeing in public(well some do), All joking aside i bet if they had those 10p cleaning ones a lot of people would use em
