I see that BSS is keen to bring back some former Rovers players back to the Mem this season - used to enjoyed seeing some of my schoolboy heroes at halftime over the last few years.
Probably too late but would love to see John Rudge here on Saturday - useful striker for us in the early 1970s and a Port Vale managerial legend.
Think there are a few more from the 1960s and 1970s who I am sure those of us of a certain age would be thrilled to see again.....Kenny Stephens, Jim Eadie, Wayne Jones etc. and of course the legend that is Harold Jarman (although I know he attends most home matches). Any news on Stuart Taylor by the way? I know he has been unwell of late.

I'd like to see Phil Purnell, he used to be my favourite Rovers player during the Gerry Francis era but haven't seen him or even a picture of him since he left.
Its strange seeing old players and how they look now, Kerry Dixon was in the press recently about his fall from grace and he looked like a different person!
I spoke to Gavin Kelly once at work on the phone, he didn't sound the brightest of chaps but was very pleasant and enjoyed his time here.

Over the last couple of seasons we have had a few old players in the supporters club bar, the interaction was in the main disappointing. Andy Rammell and his good lady ending up stood on their own at the bar, I bought them a drink and invited them to the mushroom. When his wife asked (togue in cheek) if it was the "w*nkers" table, poor ole Errol nearly choked on his pint
