Not sure which game he will miss. You'd think it would be the next game, but the quirks of the FA disciplinary system mean it might not be.

I think it is the next match, so it looks like he will miss the game at Sheff Utd.

With Sincs being out I'd like to see Lines and Boateng in the middle of a 4-4-2. Wouldn't want to see a Lines-Colkett duo and don't want another narrow 3 in the middle formation.

According to the FA website he's on 4 yellows, not 5, and yes, it does seem to be uptodate because it says next game is Sheffield Utd.
Ellis also on 4.

27/08/2016 A - Swindon 13/09/2016 H - Walsall 17/09/2016 A - Brad City 20/09/2016 A - Swindon 24/09/2016 H - Port Vale
Now unless the bookings in the abandoned game at Swindon do not count, he has received five.
I have always understood that bookings/sendings off in abandoned games count but not goals scored. If the rules have changed, fine.

The number of bookings doesn't update until the Referee's report is received by the FA. Both Sincs and Ellis were on 4 bookings before the Port Vale game as I posted in this thread a few days ago - gaschat.co.uk/thread/8202/risk-suspensions
Sincs will miss the Sheff U game I'm certain.

Slightly bizarre - two bookings against Swindon, but he didn't get sent off. A "Question of Sport" teaser in the making.

Fan that I am of the beard and his clearly passionate workrate, controversially I will opine that we should be able to survive one match without him

I am still struggling to find a valid reason why cards in abandoned games count towards future bans.
Is there any reasonable explanation for this?
