Apparently DC is refusing to say what's wrong with the pipe or how long it will take to put back.

Was the drainpipe injured in all of this?...and will it be fit for the next game? I can confirm that once the maintenance professional attempts to put it back in place with a large hammer that it will be unavailable for the foreseeable future
Cheers for the update! Any truth in the rumours it will be sent to Eastleigh on loan following Saturdays weak performance?

It wasn't the pipes fault,it was the sh.t formation of clips holding it,giving no protection against the well struck ball

The pipe was similar to many fans in the Dribuild, it couldn't hold its water so got in everyone's way.

But the midfielder took shooting to a new level this weekend, and handed the Al Qadi family a timely reminder that a new stadium is a massive priority, after dismantling a part of the south stand at the Memorial Ground in the 2-1 win over Port Vale on Saturday. Not long before Martin Paterson put the away side one goal ahead, home-grown midfielder Clarke unleashed a vicious strike that went miles wide of goal before breaking one of the poles holding up the roof. I'm not sure fans have ever seen anything like it. As supporters, players and management looked on in amazement, the piece of broken scaffolding pole was quickly removed by and orange-coated steward. There wasn't a huge break in play but it handed everyone a little laugh – even though I doubt Clarke was too pleased as he glanced on at his attempt that was primarily meant to beat Vale goalkeeper Jak Alnwick. Clarke is yet to get off the mark in the goal-scoring charts after making nine appearances for the Pirates this season. He is renowned for scoring long-distance efforts and last season netted two fine shots in matches against Newport County and AFC Wimbledon. Previously, Clarke has been credited with absolute screamers in the Conference against Eastleigh and Telford. Rovers play Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night – I hope the grounds staff have secured the scaffolding nice and tight!

This shows why you should never believe anything printed in newspapers. It is a matter of fact that it was a drainpipe not a piece of scaffolding and it was also a fact that it fell onto the Vale fans not Rovers fans. Also I thought it was Ellis Harrison's shot not Ollie Clarks? If reporters make sh** up on a low level story like this what chance do we have of them telling the truth with bigger stories? Why do they do it?
