How is this Rovers, or even 82er's, related? Hoping they'd promote a mid table Div 1 club is not something even NH would have hoped for in the past. There is also a thread about Big Sam on the go pal. Do we need your permission to see if it is of interest or do you just comment to increase your posting count? Remember it's a forum.

Tax avoidance is only for those who can afford it. If they legislate against it properly then they catch everyone. We wouldn't want that now would we. This way, it's only the poor who have to actually pay tax. Cash in hand work. Two for one buys. ISA investments. All methods of tax avoidance. All exclusive activities of the super-rich. Buying from Amazon etc is tax avoidance. You avoid 20% VAT buying from the CI's.

Just to be pedantic ( I know, a shocker) strictly speaking cash in hand work is not tax avoidance. Properly declared it's payment of tax in full, undeclared it's tax evasion, a criminal offence.

Weird isn't it? I think the same thing about idiotic butt clenching over "tax avoidance". If there's such a moral obligation not to engage in it, draft the legislation properly. Tax avoidance is only for those who can afford it. If they legislate against it properly then they catch everyone. We wouldn't want that now would we. This way, it's only the poor who have to actually pay tax. Tax avoidance is only for those who can afford it you say;ask your self employed acquaintances,if you know of any,on £15-20,000 a year if they avoid tax in any way or form!!

Barnsley - Manager suspended QPR - Jimmy Floyd Hasslebank under investigation Leeds - can you believe it? Cellino been named The sh**? - here's hoping Relegate the lot of em. Or at least promote us. We are squeaky clean.
Talking of the 'teds, they haven't added to their already humongous thread on us in over 22 hours, its now not even on the front page of OTIB
Is it national inbreeding day or something, they are the true family club after all.

They're probably actually interested in their own team, for a change.

I've done cash in hand work, buy two for one items at Tescos and have an ISA with £1 + in it. So just show respect when you talk to me, coz I'm loaded. I think your irony detector may be set to neutral. The scale is irrelevant. There's either a moral imperative or there isn't.

There's no arguing with the moral principle that it's wrong, but the scale is very relevant. The have-nots do it because they wish to have enough to get by. The have more-than-enoughs do it because they want to have even more of the stuff they already have more than enough of.

In which case if it's a question of scale the well off contribute a greater percentage than the lower paid by proportion.

The have nots do it because they wish to get by says Aghast! No,they do it for the same reasons but on a lesser scale. They won't more!

I'm watching "Question Time" & just heard some hypocrite called Priti Patel take a sanctimonious swipe at football. That's the Priti Patel from the Conservative party who are heavily in bed with corrupt bankers & financiers & tax-avoiding corporations. Football generates billions. As such it sadly attracts greed & corruption. That's market forces as the Great Leaderene said.

I think yours and mine are at odds with each other. I'm just a working class bloke who worked bloody hard for what I have, and make no apology for having a reasonable lifestyle. Seems your problem is you want to equal everybody downwards. Wonder what your political leanings are.

So is he a sanctimonious hypocrite as well?

So is he a sanctimonious hypocrite as well? Politicians of all persuasions have a go at football all the time. It's an easy target like benefit receivers, and immigrants. We'd probably do better just being vaguely united in the face of that sort of thing, rather than your petty party political points scoring. We're football fans, first and foremost on this forum.

Blimey, let's not get going on politicians. Did we honestly think they are not hypocrites? Of course they are and I would add sanctimonious, esp in front of a TV audience. I don't honestly have much faith in the FA but on this occasion (sacking Allardice) they have acted correctly, knowing it would make us a laughing stock but doing it anyway because it was the right thing to do. Every time our so-called leaders, politicians, authority chiefs, try to act in a leadership role it usually makes me pinch myself to realise that Rovers are led by someone like Wael who, so far, makes all these other people look like moral midgets! He, at least, appears as a leader with a plan who acts in the proper manner. UTG!
