Hi all
What's the general consensus amongst fans for this. Is it a stay away game or are we attending in numbers? I'm happy to stick to a protest if most others are, but ultimately I will attend if not. I love going to games and go with my two sons and my mate and his lad so 5 of us can make a difference either way, but also happy to stay away if it helps to prove a point.
I just want what's best for the future of football but also our club. I don't want to stay away and then a few thousand turn up but don't want to help swell the numbers if just a few turn up.
I'm happy to make my own mind up but want to help either way.
Thanks
UTG

Stayed away from the Reading u23 match in protest but will definitely be attending Tuesday match. What ever people's feelings are ,after watching the effort and pride the team have put in the last 2 matches, I honesty feel Darrell & the lads deserve our backing . Also with £5 terrace admission & quid a kid ,what a bargain for a night out.

I guess we can rehash this for what the 3rd time? I and all those in our group won't be attending. But hey if you want to support Shaun Harvey's experiment in sucking up to the Premier League then you should attend. If you don't want to support his experiment and ego then don't attend.

You don't want to stay away and a few thousand turn up!! It appears you want to do what the masses are doing and can't make your own mind up! Seriously, why be part of the flock for forums sake? Do what YOU want.

Not going to any of these games as i think the whole thing is dog sh** ! My opinion obviously and in no way is this a dig to anyone who attends , it's a personal choice thing.

Didn't go to the game v Reading U23 but will definitely go to this one as its bona fide first team fixture.

If they see that nobody is interested in the -23 games but we are interested in the proper games then all the better. If the competition has record low attendances for all the games then they might scrap it altogether and I actually quite liked it the way if was before, I've been to three finals 2 at Wembley and one at Cardiff in fact my first ever trip to Wembley was for Torquay v Bolton in the then called Leyland Daf cup or it might have been Sherpa Van. I know the early stages are pretty lacklustre in terms of atmosphere but it builds up the further you get. I'll never forget the area finals against Notts co and the 82ers home and away. The -23 idea is a sh**e one and fans up and down the country have voted with their feet but I'm up for Bristol Rovers v Yeovil because it's a proper match. Each to their own though.

Even if absolutely no one turns up to any of the U23 games, this competition will generate more money this season than ever before. The Big clubs are underwriting the whole thing. Personally I would turn up and support my team as long as it's not against an under 23 team. After all we are fkin brilliant right now.

Not going. You'd have to pay me to watch to be honest, just can't get up for these EFL Trophy games. The whole competition is a farce, I had little interest in it even before this season to be honest.

Full teams should be fully supported.
U23 teams should have an attendance of under 23.

Thanks I will not be attending this game, not as a protest against the academy inclusion, but as a protest against the CLUB for closing the part of the ground i normally stand in and forcing me to stand amongst the underclass in other parts of the ground... SHAME ON YOU BRISTOL ROVERS

For those staying away thats your perogative, we dont have another game until the 15th October combined with the low pricing so that could easily tempt a few more along

The whole point of this competition is so lower league teams have a chance to win a cup! Do your chelskis etc.. really need a lower league trophy in their cabinet?

I'm not going but another way of looking at it is the more that go to your Bristol Rovers vs Yeovil's over the Bristol Rovers vs U23 teams then the differences in attendances will highlight even more the farce of the U23's being in the tournament.

Yeh but we've played the u23 team so everything is back to normal oh except they will probably win the group and have a chance of going to Wembley. You either support the competition as it is current form, with Premier and Championship teams represented, or you don't support. I don't and won't be attending. Others seem to think they are 2 different competitions one with and one without u23 teams in it.

I stayed away from the Reading game as a protest. I think the point has been made as the stupid idea to include these teams in the league has been abandoned.
Hopefully fans will stay away from the games involving academy sides tomorrow and the message will be received and the other xperiment will be dropped after this season. If, as someone has said the "Big Boys " are financing the competition then making up the losses will make them decide it's a bad idea.
I would have been there like a shot tomorrow but am working lates so will have to miss it. No home game for nearly 2 weeks with the international postponement. I wonder how much that will cost the club, it's a cash flow problem as I suspect there would have been a decent gate on Saturday following the great away performances.

I wont be attending as I haven't agreed with it since the start.
