Although I was delighted we were promoted and did well under trolls, I didn't like that team like I liked the Francis team, the Allison team, the ward team 1, Holloway team, current team.
Just less characters, players got us relegated. Bad comments and attitudes from some players.
Ricky was great, fairly average team otherwise.

Have him back? I'm more worried about Cardiff looking in our direction for a replacement.

Really sorry it hasn't worked out for Trolls. He was part of the management team that hauled us out of a massive slump that had it continued would have seen us in the conference years before we actually ended up there. He always came across as a likeable and intelligent man who I hoped would eventually be succesfull as a manager.

It tends to always go bad when someone is promoted from within. Unless you have a complete system in place and stick to the same philosophy. Liverpool managed to do pretty well promoting from within but that eventually ended badly. Whilst the Lennie and Paul partnership was a good one , I did wonder whether Lennie was now able to offer the same input as football moves on and changes.
On a side note...is there any ground in having a managerial academy at BRFC. A couple of older players with the right personalities being trained in the club philosophy the DC way and more than just trying badges. Clubs spend a fortune training players ,why not do the same with managers, coaches and other backroom staff ?

And got very lucky......getting BRFC relegated would have been curtains for many and they wouldn't have got beyond game 8. But you are correct he was promoted from within.....as was David Williams.

As far as a managers academy, aren't MS/SY part of that already? But whether either could step up if DC leaves is another matter.
