Anyone see the article in somersetlive about what the loan system has done for Tahvon Campbell (WBA) currently at Yeovil? Darren Moore explains in some detail the benefits of Tuesday/Saturday regular first team involvement, learning a lifestyle away from your comfort zone of u23 once a week fixtures etc. Moore comes across as a really thoughtful and meticulous coach. I think it shows exactly what the young lads on loan to us will be able to harvest from their time here. They will mature both in their football development and in non footballing terms too.

Darren Way No, Darren Moore, former big centre half now in charge of the WBA u23s and especially involved in keeping up to date on how their eight loanees are doing at their various clubs. It looks like he's doing an excellent job for Tony Pulis

I wonder if he spent a couple of days with Hiram like Moore did at Yeovil? It was good to hear that the player's off the field welfare and his integration with the team and his surroundings were all part of Moore's remit. Not just a case of throwing them at a new club letting them sink or swim in their new environment and only turning up to games to see if they can still kick a ball in front of a vociferous and critical audience (and quite possibly critical team mates too!)

But how many go on to play in the Premiership compared to the likes of Bolger, Parkes, LDV & Dawson, who all just got released after their loan spells with us? It's hard to name one English youngster who regularly appears in Chelsea's Premiership match day squad? Perhaps JCS will be the exception.

Very pleased to see you back online - I am assuming your name defines your location and I hope that you made it through the storm safe and sound.

Trying to add a picture but not too good at this computer malarkey

Trying to add a picture but not too good at this computer malarkey I worked just up the coast from you for three or four months this time last year and got an impression of what it gets like during the storms - even though we didn't get hit by a biggie, I remember one "scare" when they were tracking a potential hurricane - the TV was advising everyone to stock up with water, canned food and CHAINSAWS!!!!
I wasn't quite so lucky with the pub lock in though - My local was an open sided Tiki Bar by the sea - it got blown away.
Great place to live but I really missed the trips to the Mem - Listening to internet commentaries at 10 am every Saturday morning felt weird and I really couldn't get into the wall to wall NFL stuff.
