I think our particular skills and talents would not be appreciated at the Xmas shindig Sadly that's a given, perhaps a quiz night would suffice. 79 myself and Gregs were part of a formidable team (£8.00 down the pan) a couple of times. Gregs has an amazing talent, goes from sober to banjaxed in a nanosecond. It's an amazing sight, certainly not to be missed. You coming over anytime soon? I should be coming over before Xmas. We'll have to meet up for a beer.

I can machine a piece of metal to an accurate size within 0.0025mm or 0.0001" for those who prefer to work in English. The only way to machine metal is in english, bloody nasty french metric crap units grrrrrr . funny thing is though although i still have loads of imperial system taps and dies, i use metric a lot ,but if i need something to screw together that im making from scratch then i use imperial sizes mainly machine and measure stuff that has to be spot on in imperial, and sometimes use imperial if something just needs to fit, can also do rough conversions between the two, as it's easier to visualise in imperial before measuring in metric. Still ask for baccy in imperial confuses the feck out of people in the shops ,even better ask for 560ml(ish) of guiness

Do you know....In Germany, despite being metric for many a year.........if you want to talk about plumbing, all of the pipes and measurements are in Imperial! No joking.

I'm a skilled machinist, milling and grinding,i'm also a qualified Plumber and a landscape gardener. When at Rolls Royce i worked on m/cs that were imperial but all our drawings were in metric and my measuring tools were imperial,so always looking on the conversion charts,by the time i was made redundant most m/cs and all measuring tools were metric. When training as a Plumber it was all metric, but gardening is my favourite job not as much money but just love it.

I had an almost photographic memory, right up to the point I got married, terrible memory after. Purely coincidental of course.

I can play Karma Police on the ukulele, which is hilarious if you speed it up......well it makes me laugh. and I'm mostly responsible for the design of the planetarium @explore (Daddy's shiny ball according to Squiffy junior), Madonna's bra in front of the Dyson factory, and the main entrance and atria at Southmead hospital. Anyone need a stadium design?

Everyone hates internal grinding!! I do a bit of flat, but mostly cylindrical and internal. Have done a bit a jig grinding but they don't have a jig grinder at my new job.
