This may be old news for some, but today's Bristol Post published a 'Bristol & Bath Rich List'. Not sure how he qualifies but Wael and family come in at No 11, with a wealth of £400m. According to the Post: '................his father Abdulkadar Abdullah Al-Qadi founded the Arab Jordanian Investment Bank in 1978. The family also has interests in tourism. They are major shareholders in the Mediterranean Tourism Investment company which owns the Lavish Four Seasons Hotel in Amman. The Al-Qadi's Jordan Investment Bank acquired HSBC's Jordan operations in 2014. The AJIB also has interests in Qatar. Wael Al-Qadi is assistant general manager of the bank. He and his brothers have a 13.5% shareholding.' Not as rich as Hargreaves and Lansdown............but rich enough!

The Sh I t heads on One Turd are all over this like a tramp on chips. They're gleefully reassuring each other that Wael hasn't any money, hasn't got a pot to water in, etc etc.
What doesn't seem to have passed through what goes for a mind among the dwellers in the South Bristol swamps is the ability of the Al Quadis when it comes to raising finance, networking with Middle Eastern wealth holders etc. Wael's good friend The Jordanian Crown Prince is said to be worth $17billion,and I wouldn't mind betting they have regular contact with the big boys involved in the Middle East oil and gas industry.
It seems to me that the Sh1t are totally beholden to Saint Sir Steve, the Duke of Guernsey. In fact they are probably in the hole to him to the tune of £200 million? A staggering sum of money. All it needs is for a bit of a slump, and for the South Bristol retards to start berating him and his son, and he could very well think "F@ck this," and pull the plug. It's all very well having a single benefactor, but look at Blackburn. Jack Walker spent his way to the top, but after he passed on the money dried up and they are now a financial basket case. If ever anything happened to SSS, The DoG, I wonder if his family would be prepared to pour circa £12 million pa into the open sewer at Trashton? Knowing that they were never more than one bad result away from being abused and vilified.
We may be behind the Sh1t at the moment, but we are catching up, and they don't like it.
UTG.

Pantsdown worth £1.4 billion. Staggering sums of money shoveled into the club. Yet they have barely progressed.

Pantsdown worth £1.4 billion. Staggering sums of money shoveled into the club. Yet they have barely progressed. Yeah, he's put nearly 10% of his wealth into that place. Given that the average house price in Bristol is c. £250k, that's like the average home-owner fan blowing c. 20 grand on lottery tickets, and getting a £10 prize.

What's more than all of this is that WAQ has contacts in football. He is involved in the game independently of us, seems to have good contacts with Chelsea and has appointed a crack team of football specialists.
As always, the red half have...money. Lots of money with a financial advisor running it, who is primarily a business man, trying to create a project of which BCFC 1982 Ltd are one brand. He has no footballing input and has already unwisely spent vast amounts with no return.
We have a man connected to football, who also has the ability to raise funds. One single project with exactly the same objectives as the fans - raise BRFC through the leagues and expand the club, I would take that over a marketing aim of a business strategy. Bristol sport have a brochure of which 1982 are one section. I was waiting for a meeting and I almost wet myself, how demeaning.

When you split all his money between all the 'sports projects' it does not look so good, I am thinking every 'sports project' does not return any money to the pot ? So you need a few £billion to spread around, and every new 'sports project' that eats more money spreads it very thin indeed !

Let those red tossers say what they like, gives them something to feel good about themselves I guess.
The fact is they have had a billionaire bank rolling them yet they have rarely had a sniff of the Premiership.
Much more satisfying seeing players like Taylor, Sinclair, Clarke etc come grown with us from non-league and improve season after season, plus a good number of youngsters coming through, rather than throwing bad money after good.

So where did they get Al-Qadi's wealth figure if £400m from, as none of us have ever been able to calculate their wealth? What happened to the billionaire tag the BP were happy to use in the past.

You've got to laugh at the tards though.Rovers have always struggled through without the preverbial 'pot to water in',no doubt, but an attempt at a water take via a Bristol City Post article (everything they come out with is 100% true of course) because the Al-Qadi family are 'only' worth £400 million is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.No interest whatsoever in the Lansdown prawn sarnie show, more than happy to be in our best position ever and the prospect of at last seeing some long term success under the reign of the pauper Wael.UTG and F@ck the franchise.

Obviously none of this makes our present situation better than it is....light years behind them.
Let's just concentrate on progression and we will be fine.

I think the reason city fans are taking the water is because when we thought he was a billionaire all the mind the cash and we are the richest in Bristol was all over facebook

One promotion and the UWE built is hardly light years? Give us two years and if 82'ers haven't got promoted by then we could be on level terms both ground & league status wise. Where's your floating fan going to go then, a rebuilt AG in south Bristol or brand new purpose built stadium in South Glos??

Does no one see the irony of posts saying "The teds are obsessed with us! Now let's argue about why our owner having less money than theirs is better from us".
Who cares? Let the thick b**tards get on with it. If they got bought by a consortium consisting of Bill Gates, Jesus and Abraham Lincoln tomorrow I would not give a single sh1t.
I'm interested in Rovers and after that pretty much nothing else in football. Not city, not the England set up and certainly not a "second" Premier league club.

I think the reason city fans are taking the p**s is because when we thought he was a billionaire all the mind the cash and we are the richest in Bristol was all over facebook If you're gonna pretend to be Gas you're probably better off making a few posts about Rovers, and the football, rather than every single post you make, giving the '82er point of view. (Anyone can look up your activity on the forum, to see for themselves.) Try just a few mindless puns, about cocks, or something, and maybe the odd 'Yeessssssssssssss!!!1!!' when we score in a matchday thread, or something like that. It's not hard.
