I thought it was a good idea to have the pasty sellers outside the Thatcher's End with trays of food yesterday together with the "portable" Thatcher's Bars before the game.
Saves queuing up for the whole of half time for food and 10 minutes to get a drink before the game.
Part of Wael's evolution process. Let's hope they made enough to keep doing it.
On the downside it would have been good if this new idea would have been advertised on the website/Evening Post/etc beforehand.
Like the special drink offers they have in the bars. If the club dont advertise it sufficiently, only the few people already in the clubhouse who bother to read the posters are going to know about it. We don't help ourselves sometimes!
Can those ITK advise if the additional food and drink sales points are happening on Tuesday. This will mean fans don't have to rush around so much after work if they know they can quickly get food at the Mem.

As a programme seller it was good for me. I am usually rushing around after work before starting to sell around 1.30, so a chance to quickly grab a bite to eat and a pint was good.
I am usually very hungry by ten past three when I normally get in to watch.

The outside bar was a great idea, but I always find the other bar rattles thro the queue pretty quick to be fair

A very good move and another step in the right direction for the club.
I can totally understand why this was not advertised. As a new initiative it makes sense to trial it slowly. Get the system in place then promote for greater sales UTG!

On the subject of catering, I'm bracing myself for an announcement that we have signed a sponsorship deal with cheese and onion crisps. For the last couple of months, that's the only flavour you've been able to get your hands on at the South Stand pasty hut! You can choose from two manufacturers of cheese and onion, but no other flavours! Whoever visits the cash and carry for the crisps must have never ventured beyond the cheese and onion aisle. That or there was such an offer on one week, the area under the south west stand is full of boxes of cheese and onion!

Not mentioning the lack of pies. A smaller range of items for sale will stop the queues, well that idea certainly failed. Never seen longer lines of gasheads even at 1415.

Never seen longer lines of gasheads even at 1415. Well it will because eventually people will just buy their stuff elsewhere.

He quickly changed the "pasties only" when I and a few others complained at the withdrawal of meat pies.

They need another pasty stand behind the west enclosure the half time queues are ridiculous seems to be the case with the west enclosure during highly attended games that in order to have a water and get a pasty you have to ether miss the last 5 mins of the first half or miss the first 5 mins of the second.... I've tried doing things in different orders but I wasn't comfortable taking a pee with a pasty in my pocket....

Maybe if you took the pasty out of your pocket before wetting yourself it wouldn't get so soggy?

Surely the people selling pasty's from the cinema style trays before the game can walk around the ground during the game? ( at least 5 minutes before half time, until 5 mins after?). And maybe just before the final whistle?
This should help reduce the queues and let supporters have more choice in the pasty huts (at least 3 choices for chocs and crisps)
Can people ITK pass on this suggestion if others think it is valid.

I don't know why thatchers can't provide some proper portable bars on the back of a trailer instead of a tin pot gazebo.
Opening the ground earlier would make more sense now the crowds are going to be higher on average. Allows more time to get food etc
