being a season ticket holder, I decided to use the offer of bring a friend for free for the Fleetwood game which all went well.... have tickets, sorted....
now, at about 2pm my mate asked me if he could bring his 8 year old son, I wasn't sure so I rang the club who assured me that it was pay on the day at turnstiles, despite the fact that I offered to pre-pay and collect, they told me that wouldn't be necessary....
I arrived at the ground to find it was sold out.... why, oh why, oh why, waste people's time and effort. I don't ever give my season ticket away, but tonight I had to because I had an excited 8year old kid with his dad that were there to cheer on the gas.....
alas I got the number 76 bus home (sweet irony) and I'm mega pi55ed off....

That's because every now and again, our club undoes the good work by doing sh**e like this.

They cocked up but I'm pretty sure that under the current regime they will see you right in some way.

5500 or so season ticket holders times 2 =11,000. Always a risky policy

They moved the Fleetwood fan to the seats and opened the away terrace for Gasheads. Corrected that for you. You will see when we score that terrace is full of celebrating Gasheads. We thought a load of Fleetwood fans had turned up late at first. The bit that's normally empty between the aways fans and the East Terrace was also full in the end.

Although gregs didn't benefit sounds like there was quick action to be fair. I arrived about 15 mins late and no sign of a lock out

I'm assuming the capacity limit was based on how many tickets had been sold/given out rather than how many were actually used. I went in the 'Away' end and it had been open a while before it was announced over the PA. That could have been announced sooner. Plenty of room but the days of 'squeeze a few more in' are long gone and rightly so

How could we have a lock out with only a 10088 gate, particularly if we used the away terrace, something doesn't add up?

How could we have a lock out with only a 10088 gate, particularly if we used the away terrace, something doesn't add up? Lots of people turned up outside the Thatchers End not long before kick off expecting to pay on the gate, saw a lot of people turn around and walk away from the ground once it was clear it was all ticket. Anyone left outside were then directed to the away terrace around 10 minutes into the game.

Firstly: I am not attacking the club and I think this ST offer was an excellent benefit. But can anyone explain why the capacity was increased at the MEM by 20% this season to 12300 and people are saying it was a 10000 sell out ?.
It is true that we were let in the away end at around 7.50 p.m allowing an extra 1000 terrace spaces . So why wasn't this communicated with fans like Gregsgas ?. And there were still around 700 spaces left during the game !. All it needed was a call " tickets on sale in away end " ...
But like I said . Let's thank the club for this offer...

the responses are appreciated guys.... basically I'm getting the impression that by turning up at 7.15pm means you've got less chance of getting in than if you rock-up at 7.50.... where's the justice in that?
