Sad news tonight of the passing of Ron Batt Hon life member of the Supporters Club. Without the work of people like Ron there wouldn't be a Bristol Rovers today. R I P Ron my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Ron was a long standing supporter of Bristol Rovers since I met him many years ago and one of the first members of Helpline. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Sincere condolences to his family. RIP Ron.

I worked with Ron at Rolls Royce, He sold thousands of Rovers lottery tickets. He was a dedicated rovers supporter all his life, He was one of few supporters who flew to Scandinavia to watch Geoff Bradford play his debut game for England . R I P Ron

One of the many unsung heroes at the club.
He used to travel to Twerton on the special Rovers buses from Stapleton Rd with his grandson. While we waited he often used to talk about the greats and always had the faith that we would come back stronger.
Thoughts to his family at this side time.

I'm Ron's nephew and brought him to watch Rovers for many years. He was very excited about what was going on at the moment, although unfortunately he was too ill to come this season and missed the last day of last season. Ron would never hear a bad word against Rovers, even in the darkest days, and frequently told me off for my rants going home in the car! : )
A true fan, and I'll miss him very much.
RIP Uncle Ron.

Thanks for coming on here and sharing your feelings. We used to chat at Eastville market and I remember him for many years before, always helping out and supporting the club. A lovely man. My condolences to you and your family.
