The flexi=tickets help a lot to reduce costs for those who cant justify a season ticket, how many other teams do that!

We're doing OK. Price of shirts especially kids ones are a little high. price of shirts full stop ! If they sold them for a reasonable price - 25 quid, I think they'd sell 2 or 3 x more. I wait for any sales - no chance I'd pay 40 + quid for one.

say, cost to buy from supplier, £10. Sell 1000 at £45, that's £35 profit, = £35,000 overall profit sell 2000 at £25, that's £15 profit = £30,000 overall profit
To make your way more profitable, you'd have to guarantee selling x2.35 shirts. 15 x 2350 = £35,250. And that's without the fixed costs of going through more stuff - delivery from supllier, storage etc.

What are the stats for 3 x It would be more ! Don't bother, I think you understand the point I was making. Why is everything about profit ? Maybe they can get more money out of "loaded" sponsors and less from the "ordinary"fan. The price of shirts are not right/fair. I think clubs should try to encourage fans to show their colours more ( banners, flags, shirts , scarves etc ) but not make them cough up so much money for it.

I do understand where you are coming from - your talking about making the shirts a loss leader for generating more fans, so more money for the club down the line.
A business needs money to invest in staff and facilities. If I was in charge and you came to me would that proposal, I'd definately listen - but you would have to show me some numbers. By selling at your lower price, how many extra shirts can I expect to sell? Can you persuade me convincingly that selling extra shirts = extra fans through the door? How many extra fans? For how long? How much money will these extra fans generate? Would I be better off using the money I'm investing in your proposal somewhere else - reducing ticket prices, buying better players, improving facilities?

If you think its too expensive then don't buy it, it's not compulsory.

If you think its too expensive then don't buy it, it's not compulsory. I haven't bought anything for myself in the Club shop for years. Just because something is a complete rip off doesn't necessarily mean you don't end up still buying it.

Haven't bought a Rovers shirt since the 2011/12 season, the prices put me off quite abit, saying that I visited The San Siro not long ago and full Inter/AC Milan tops were €150!

No, I wasn't talking about getting new fans in but looking after the ones we've got. Maybe once we are a more attractive club - continued success and stability and a new stadium that we might be able to step up sales dramatically. I still think we would get 6,000 supporters buying shirts per season at 25 quid rather than 2000 at 45 quid - do the maths.

I agree Mark, but also would like to add that it would be better for the club with 6000 fans walking around the city wearing shirts than 2000. It would be good advertising for the club.

Fair enough if we sell 6,000, but where are you getting those numbers from? Do we sell 2,000 now - or do we sell 6,000 now, in which case we'd have to sell 18,000 to get your numbers?

I think football is cheap as chips.
It costs about the same as a taxi ride to bath.
My ST works out about £10 a game. That is extraordinary value for money.
food at game is not extortionate.
I have nothing to say to priced out fans of big clubs but support a local team, 99% of them have a L1/2 conference team local to them.
Oh and as for a cost of tickets for kids too, either pay for them or don't have kids. Or have kids but accept you can't afford to take them all to football every week.

A bad night but Matty's pen earned me 320 quid. Still would have rather lost the cash for a 0-0 though!!
