If Taylor stays, I'd guess that the 2/3 permanent signings will be:
- GK - CB - ST

"The players are on their toes because they know they have a big five weeks before the transfer window opens." After Tuesday's game I hope they get back on their heels!
Isn't this a story about nothing though as surely DC was also going to be given funds to strengthen his squad in January, perhaps it is just a way to get the present squad "on their toes"?

I think we need a Keeper, Centre Half, 2 midfielders and a striker.
I can see at least 4 or 5 going out the door.

I might be in the minority here, but I'd like us to sign Roos.
He makes the odd mistake yes, but overall he's very good and young so *should* improve over time.
Agree with the striker shout. Someone like the Charlton number 9 will do nicely.

Ellis loan Puddy loan, roos n#2 Bodin loan Harim back to palace Taylor?? (Please stay!!!) Mansell release Gosling release Lawrence release
In:
1/2 strikers New gk New left back (brown competition, DC doesnt seem too keen on roberts) 2 New versatile mids
Im not too sure we need a new centre back. With locks, harts, jcs, macca and james clarke. If james clark's injury is long term then maybe but jcs will be fit to play by end of window. We could do with the cover now, jan could be ok.
Ellis has proved recently his is no where near good enough, needs to move on. Would also like Bodin to go out and hopefully rediscover last seasons form.

I said it at the start of the season, and I'll say it again. Taylor is the only current Rovers player who will score more than 10 league goals for us. If he goes, we will need two top strikers to come in, and we know how hard it is to find one. So thats 1/2 strikers, a center back and a goalkeeper at the very least. I suspect now we'll see how committed WAQ is in the transfer market. I agreed with you when you first said it and I still agree with you now

I believe that Kelle Roos is here to stay, obviously wouldn't be popular with some so lets wait and see where and who the Manager recruits. Plenty of plastic managers on here who could pish away millions on a whim.
Once again, just my opinion.

I'm confident that if we had a capable number two waiting in the wings, he would be dropped this coming weekend.

Agree with most of this, apart from the Centre back, I really think Hartley is good enough for this league and would give Tom some much needed experience next to him. I think we may see 2 or 3 come in Jan, but there will be a lot of movement in the summer I expect, I'd imagine most if not all of the players that were given a contract on the back of promotion last year were only given 1 year deals and a large majority being let go at the end of the season, also if 3 come in Jan then surely we will need to get rid of a few because we have big enough squad before getting anyone else in. Don't disagree with any of this. What I mean is, any players we look to sign for fees I would imagine we would want them to be good enough to give the championship a go. Whilst I agree Hartley is good enough at this level, he doesn't have the pace to compete at Championship level.

Pay off or move on... Harrison Gosling Manse Roos Macca Puddy Mildy Lawrence Ollie Lucas Malpass James Kilgor Greenslade I still reckon James deserves a shout, but the rest make sense. The rest are nowhere near the team or if they are, are only there because of circumstance. Agree this isn't news so much as a kick up the arse from Darrell.

Standing on the east terrace he did not seem happy with Roos after the third goal on Tuesday either.

DC giving everyone a kick up the whatsit after a 1-5 home defeat. Summer will be busier. It will depend upon MT going or staying. UTG!

With the extra backroom staff we've appointed this season, that would eat up most of the £400K mentioned earlier. I doubt we'll spend much in January, and Andy Tilson's record will still stand for a while I reckon.
