For me? How many bloody times did he say those 2 words. Well D bloody C, for me its all going pear shaped and for me you need to stop sodding watering around with the team and get rid of these so called under achieving players. Go on, do it. For me.

That was so so so disappointing - and after the perfect start. Players look like they are playing through treacle. We have players behind the ball and still we concede so easily - felt sorry for Roos who was wrongly being abused by some supporters today.
Did we miss Matty today ? sure BUT why is it so easy for teams to score against us ? This is the worrying bit. We need a CB who is going to command the aerial stuff ASAP !!!

We were badly let down today by two Clarkss James and Ollie bloody awful in the first half should have been at home playing against conference players as this is their level just not up to it I'm afraid I know there will be much bigger clubs than us going out to lower leauge opposition but we we were so not at it today it was bloody embarrassing!! I don't think you should single out any player today - the opposition wanted it more and were well-organised. All our out-field players were well below par !

Yes and that worries me big time, how can any player not be up for maybe a trip to utd or liverpool etc, saw alot more desire against chelsea, well watered off and angry, off horse hunting now.

Anybody hear DC on the radio afterwards? Sounds like a few P45s are gonna be in the post. He's losing patience.

I totally agree with you, but also very surprised at the starting 11. Was that DC over-confident or has this constant team changing now taken over all our preparations for the game and what we need to do to win?

He has stuck with the players that gave him two good promotions. Some have progressed, some has not moved on and of those are now being exposed as not good enough. We are approaching the transfer window and he has already said that he will have money available. That will be a good test for him to see whether he has that capability of changing the side. He is still learning and I am still prepared to back him to turn it around, it appears from reading here and social media that others either don't want to or believe he can't and is "hapless" or "useless"... I suppose that's what getting back to back promotion brings you. Still it's all about opinions... Spot on Chesh. He has given players a chance and i dont think DC has buried his head in the sand. He has openly said that we would see what players were made of after some poor results. Unfortunatley most of them have stayed missing It's not DC who has buried his head in the sand but a lot of fans who believed the early season form ment that we had a top 6 league 1 squad. God forbid people should've pointed ut this wasn't the case because that was slagging off DC. You'll remember the 'Defence' thread on the other forum, it doesn't matter because we score more than we concede. Oh how foolish.

Just watched DC's post match interview - brutally honest, but worrying. I feel he should have sent a well-briefed underling in to do the interview, and kept his own powder dry. Poor management technique - how does he motivate the players effectively between now and the New Year after such a condemning diatribe?!. Or is he willing to sacrifice the remaining points in the interim? Made his own bed I'm afraid and now has to sleep in it. 4 or 5 changes every game, players not knowing if they are wanted or not. Some disappeared without trace never getting a fair chance and others played week after week in spite of poor performances. Lost the dressing room as far as I am concerned and no doubt the players he will move along are the likes of McChrystal, Mansel etc and the Conference players aka the Clarkes, Sinclair, Harrisons will continue to delight us with their footballing prowess. Playing different formations is fine when you have talent at your disposal but I'm afraid that is something which is in short supply due to a misplaced loyalty to players who are clearly out of their depth. Lost the dressing room? Get a grip

Couldnt believe today we started a match at home, against non league opposition, with both O Clarke and Sinclair in a 3 man midfield. With 5 defenders as well we were so negative with no creativity. It was crying out for someone like Colkett to look to make stuff happen for the front two. Not sure what James had done to deserve a starting role, felt like it was just DC wanting to give him a run out.

The set up doesn`t help either. 3-5-2, with Hartley covering the left back position, is just nonsensical.

Luke James has proved beyond all doubt this afternoon that he shouldn't be anywhere near our first choice team if we have any ambition above returning to the conference.

I will stick with my opinion, you are entitled to yours but would be interested to hear your thoughts rather than just a curt reply to another post.

Felt sorry for Easter today as of late he's looked useful but didn't even come on as sub.
Given we were only playing a National League side would Mansell & McChrystal really have found it that hard a game, or is there another reason for not giving them a game?
What happens come January if those two plus Gosling & Lawrence decide they may as well see out the last 6 months of their contracts?
Signings wise why did DC bring in such weak Div 1 players, like James, Moore & Hartley, adding them to a basically Conference squad was always going to be a gamble.

They are low on confidence and some are not good enough, but you can't say they don't work for the DC. Did you see their celebration last week going to DC? I feel we are not good enough for top 6 and we are not bad enough to go down, but saying DC has lost the dressing room because of a bad run of games is wrong IMO

It wasn't misplaced loyalty, it was a promise he made the team if they would get us promoted. Hint: Last year we were in League 2.

No doubt he will never repeat that mistake in his managerial career again. Not the sort of promise any Manager should make unless you are suggesting all our present squad should be awarded with the same promise if we were to be promoted again this season.
