wiaww, sounds as if some Rovers "supporters" are going to be ecstatic tonight, plenty of people to blame, etc etc .... Who would be ecstatic at loosing to a non league team again, it's embarrassing Some of those who can now say they predicted it, those who "knew" it was going to happen and those who put bets on Barrow to win...

Just an observation. I watch Brighton from time to time, and have mates who are season ticket holders. We all agree Brighton are doing well because of three major factors: They have made themselves very hard to beat, the players are "streetwise " as far as the league they play in is concerned, and the manager spots very quickly players who simply aren't good enough. In many ways Rovers seem to be mirroring Brighton, at least off the field. Maybe the Rovers' playing philosophy needs a root and branch review now. Agree. In this context, on balance would move on/replace Roos, Lockyer, O Clarke, Harrison

The only thing that could cheer me up is City draw Barrow away and it gets moved to Monday night for TV. Been a while since the 'teds lost to non-league opposition though! Ours is an annual event, but then so has promotion of late...

Please remember the golden rule to attack the post even when you are feeling down - NOT the poster. Thank you and good afternoon. There are people on here that love calling other users names. No need to stick up for me. Sticks and stones etc etc. [ Repeated offenders without naming names and they still remain

What like in the same way you would be ecstatic if you had critical illness insurance and then you got diagnosed with cancer or you predict that some catastrophy is going to happen and then it does? No true Rovers fan is going to be ecstatic about this whether they bet on it or whether they predicted it!

I had a side bet today of Barrow winning and both teams to score. It's nothing more than knowing your own team and using it to improve crappy days like today.

No true Rovers fan is going to be ecstatic about this whether they bet on it or whether they predicted it! No that is really a bit of a silly example. And I agree that no "true" supporter would enjoy the Gas losing. It really ruins my bloody day! However there are some people who call seem to love to attack and criticise the players and seem to get a kick out of saying they could see us losing. I have heard such people at the ground who do nothing but complain and don't/won't get behind the team. Similarly there are those who love it when they believe players they hate are doing badly. Of course players will sometimes struggle or hit a bad patch but criticising them when they are scoring regularly or playing consistently and then have an off day isn't in my view being a supporter. Anyway I'm getting a nice bottle of red wine out to drown my sorrows. Cheers! On to the next game and hoping DC can turn it around in the coming days.

DC has been so fantastic at developing team spirit that it has carried us through and masked some underlying deficiencies but we are getting found out now. He has stuck with the players that gave him two good promotions. Some have progressed, some has not moved on and of those are now being exposed as not good enough. We are approaching the transfer window and he has already said that he will have money available. That will be a good test for him to see whether he has that capability of changing the side. He is still learning and I am still prepared to back him to turn it around, it appears from reading here and social media that others either don't want to or believe he can't and is "hapless" or "useless"... I suppose that's what getting back to back promotion brings you. Still it's all about opinions... Spot on Chesh. He has given players a chance and i dont think DC has buried his head in the sand. He has openly said that we would see what players were made of after some poor results. Unfortunatley most of them have stayed missing

OC was MOTM last week as well, so I'd say there's space in the squad for him.

We were badly let down today by two Clarkss James and Ollie bloody awful in the first half should have been at home playing against conference players as this is their level just not up to it I'm afraid I know there will be much bigger clubs than us going out to lower leauge opposition but we we were so not at it today it was bloody embarrassing!!

I will be in the warmth of a theatre watching come Dickensian humour.
Not a lot different to being at The Mem. Well I had a great afternoon.
Brilliant entertainment in the warm theatre.
Now who's up next? It's Bury who have lost their last ten games. I'm off to the bookies on Monday for a cast iron bet on that result.

What a ******** awful mess that was; no wonder DC is going clear a lot of them out during the January window. Roos IMO is the worst goalkeeper to get an extended run in the side, definitely in the last 50 years, fact. Even poor old Tommy is not reacting quick enough and seems uncertain on the ball. But what really ******* me off was the number of players who either went missing or did not roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. Embarrassing, and we are on a shocking run of results. For me Charlie and Easter have to start and Ollie Clarke James Clarke and Stuart Sinclair need to be dropped asap.

Just watched DC's post match interview - brutally honest, but worrying. I feel he should have sent a well-briefed underling in to do the interview, and kept his own powder dry. Poor management technique - how does he motivate the players effectively between now and the New Year after such a condemning diatribe?!. Or is he willing to sacrifice the remaining points in the interim?

They want to know what he's going to do about it. That's what we got and I wouldn't expect anything less from a man with his integrity. As far as motivating the team is cconcerned, telling it like it is the best way, he didn't name names he didn't embarrass anyone in public and he said that the players have been fantastic to do as well as they have but that we need to INVEST in January to help us push on.

Or is he willing to sacrifice the remaining points in the interim? I thought that too, he was brutally honest as he always is but was in effect giving people notice which won't do their confidence, which they so obviously lack, any good at all. I am sure they will know who they are but its likely they won't turn up for the next few games now either. Hopefully a calculated risk but a big one I'd say given the points at stake. Keeping the dressing room in face of tough challenge has been a real strength for DC that I really hope he can keep. At least he isn't asking us to lower our expectations yet

I agree it had to be said , I feel we have been punching above our weight so far this season, my concern is really how bad we have become on defending as a team, we all seemed nervous at the back, is it because the back four have got no confidence in Roos or is it bad because Roos has no confidence in the back four, whichever it is it needs to be sorted as we will concede goals every game as it is.

Fair points - just hope it doesn't backfire. Some players might have the mindset "guilty by association". Then what?

Some disappeared without trace never getting a fair chance and others played week after week in spite of poor performances. Lost the dressing room as far as I am concerned and no doubt the players he will move along are the likes of McChrystal, Mansel etc and the Conference players aka the Clarkes, Sinclair, Harrisons will continue to delight us with their footballing prowess. Playing different formations is fine when you have talent at your disposal but I'm afraid that is something which is in short supply due to a misplaced loyalty to players who are clearly out of their depth.
