A Cambridge United striker. On loan. Oh how we've fallen :-( Not a dig at the player - he may be just want we need. It's just the realisation of how far we've fallen. That will come to a lot of people on Sat when they find out we are playing Telford.... not Southend If it hadn't sunk in already, I think last Saturday did it for many.

This guys 6'3 - means only one thing to me, more long ball. My opinion is that we have three decent strikers at this level but STILL have nothing creative to offer for them to feed off. Gosling's our best player with the ball for me and should start right wing every game.

It doesn't matter who we have up front. Think back. Kuffour, Hoskins.....

Just means we will have two target men as well as two poachers which will be brilliant as we can play with one of Brunt/Cunnington alongside one of Taylor/White.

And for the record I would take this bloke. A decentish record and looks a much better signing on paper than the likes of Martin last week.

Also, on the occasions that our players do play a little possession football, they are plenty of spectators that don't appreciate it. Shouts of "forwards, pass it, shoot"! Echo around if we string more than 4 passes together followed by groans of discontent when the demanded forward play fails to create anything. Meanwhile a 20 yard sideways zero pressure pass from one fullback to another receives an ovation! Bizarre.

A Cunnington and Brunt partnership could be interesting for the commentators

sounds like a good player fingers crossed he comes,,,nobody likes relentless long ball football[except martin allen] but in lge 1 ,2 and below there has to be some long ball as long as its mixed in with passing and moving, players below championship arnt good enough to always play on the deck.

Looks decent on paper, but I fear hoofball galore.

Think this could be a decent signing for us. It's good to have the option to play it long to a genuine target man if we need to mix things up a little and I'm sure he will be a big threat from set-pieces.
Ideally I'd like to see us keep the ball down more than we did at Altrincham and Barnet - and I think we will in general - but against some sides we may have to fight fire with fire and go direct, which Cunnington looks suited to.
His record in this division is quite impressive given his obvious role up front and I think he may prove a useful acquisition.
Good luck, Adam.

He is big, but is he powerful? YOUTUBE VIDEO TIME!Nice bit of hold up play above, eventually finishes the move off... ...And some excellent finishing below, certainly has an eye for goal. 0:50
