Here is his interview: Interviews well. Haven't got time to watch it yet, but does he say Rovers are obviously a big club for this level? y'know

City get Agard Rovers get Cunnington and the majority on here are happy about it. Impossible to compare unfortunately, they have a lot of financial backing - it's not even fair to slate the board by comparing the two. Despite my complete and utter hatred of Lansdown, I say fair play to him if he's willing to fork out near £1,000,000 (not my words) for a back-up striker in League One, but I get the impression that a certain striker of theirs may be leaving during this window to compensate. The way he funded the rugby last year was quite sensational too, shame they fell flat on their arse when it counted. I'm very pleased with the signing of Cunnington, I feel a creative midfielder in next week + some results in the next eight days would be fantastic, and would give us real confidence going into September.

Really happy with this signing, hopfully Martin can provide the service and BRFC can bag the first win of the season against Telford. UTG

hardly comparable these days though. It saddens me. It is hardly comparable and that is the situation both of us find ourselves in at the minute. The truth is that Cunnington looks a good acquisition for the level we are at and that is all that matters. We just need to accept where we are right now and get on with it. Absolutely pointless to be comparing our signings to City's at the minute. I was more comparing the situation and just how depressing from the blue side it is at times.

Just out of interest why do you 'hate' Lansdown ? That's a strong word to be banding about - surely you don't 'hate' him purely cause he puts his hand in his self made billionaire bank account to fund the club he owns ? Good luck to them I say.

I would guess some 'hate' him for his comments abut Rovers not the fact he is rich ? I don't think he loves us ?

Also, on the occasions that our players do play a little possession football, they are plenty of spectators that don't appreciate it. Shouts of "forwards, pass it, shoot"! Echo around if we string more than 4 passes together followed by groans of discontent when the demanded forward play fails to create anything. Meanwhile a 20 yard sideways zero pressure pass from one fullback to another receives an ovation! Bizarre.Spot on with this Si! I will never understand this myself, professional footballers should be able to make a 20 yard pass shouldnt they? Its like clapping the the postman for posting the letter.

No matter how much criticism there is of Nick Higgs if he lands us with a new stadium then he will eclipse anything that Lansdowne does for City
Lansdowne is throwing money at them that he can afford to lose and everything seems to be short term quick fix whether it be paying over the odds for a striker or buying an extra 10 years for an outdated stadium by renovating the stands
Yes it is painful for us to stomach right now but the reality is that if we land the stadium then we will become self sufficient and not at the whim of an individual who could destroy the club just as easily as he is building it now
It was only 12 months ago that the previous City manager was told that there is no more money and now suddenly there is
It will end in tears

Those that went to the game. How did Cunnington do? Seemed mix reviews Cant. I heard someone saying he was useless after the match adn have read several different views of his performance online. I personally thought he did alright, especially as he was only brought in the day before. He worked hard and I felt sorry for him a couple of times as he was holding the ball up but not enough support from midfield/outwide to lay the ball off. Him and Taylor linked well though. Taylor incidentally seems to be doing everything right except scoring. I really rate Taylor, have a feeling once he gets one might start banging them in. Straight after we scored yesterday he seemed to be able to express himself more and the team in general just looked more confident.

Held the ball up better that Harrold did. At least the ball didn't bounce off him each time and he held his ground. Made some good moves. Bit rusty but to be honest he well made up for any poor touches by chasing it down and he looked determined. Thought he gave a lot of effort and I liked him.

I thought he played well and he definitely contributes more than Matt Harrold did and he's only been here two days.
Maybe a little rusty but there was certainly encouraging signs. I thought he played quite well.
