Just leave the kid in the car - bottle of coke and a packet of smokey bacon. My old man used to say "I can have a proper drink , without the little b@stard getting under my feet." View Attachment

That what's mine use to say. But parents use to leave the car keys and I use to drive the car around the carpark. Lol

Try the Civil Service club at the end of Filton Ave, £1 entry but you save that on the price of the beer, pasties, pies and rolls on offer. Free parking available and child friendly, loads of kids there. Short walk to the ground.

Ah but after a drive up from Devon will that help to convert my grandson into being a lifelong Gashead. I'm on a charm offensive here and whats more his friend is now coming so two potential Gasheads now.

The original poster has already confirmed what I know, that the beer in the Wellie is good. We both along with hundreds of others every matchday obviously prefer dishwater rather than the good beer available in the Royal Oak. Dishwater imo. Your o is horseshit, imo. Festivity, dishwater? Are you feeling alright?

Civil service is a great shout, but when I've played footy there they've only had rolls and crisps - is there more on match days?

Your o is horseshit, imo. Festivity, dishwater? Are you feeling alright? If I like a decent pint before watching the Rovers I don't go in the Wellington. If you or others find the beer to your taste then fair enough. A pint of dishwater I don't like. Ok? Im feeling fine mate, mind you I don't drink what you drink so there's the answer maybe? Bath Ales remind me of the old Toby bitter, strong as nats pee with a taste to match.
