What reaction did he get when he came on? And how did he play?

What reaction did he get when he came on? And how did he play? He basically got told he's a w**ker by sbout 4000 people when he came on he passed the ball sideways about four times and other than that didn't do a lot.

I sang the song but I changed the words to "he scored them from the left side he scored them from the right but when he played for Rovers he was a Dam Twat" Which pretty much sums up what I think of his time with us.

All he did was manage to avoid eye contact with every Gashead in the ground. Not a easy thing to do but he did it admirably!

He must have noticed that the core of the team yesterday was the same as the one he helped get relegated.

Credit to him because with that abuse the red mist could easily have descended!
When he came on he was playing alongside Hiram Boateng, not really where either one would have played had it not been so one sided by then.

That shows the VALUE of good management and coaching far exceeds the money paid when that money is spent on wasters like JJOT and other highly paid mercenaries we've employed over the years.

DC was an excellent judge of our squad after relegation. This was our retained list:
Steve Mildenhall Tom Parkes Tom Lockyer Mark McChrystal Lee Brown Ollie Clarke Ellis Harrison Jamie Lucas Ryan Brunt
All are still with us 2 1/2 years later with the exception of Parkes (two promotions and now a regular with Orient in league 2) and Brunt (didn't stay long but did well in league 2 with Plymouth, sadly very injury prone). All who remained have contributed really well to 2 promotions with the exception of youth graduate Lucas, who still has time on his side to forge a career in the game.

On the plus side, they were 4 - 0 down before he came on and only let in 1 more goal after that - so maybe he did have an effect on the Cobblers team. Boateng looked shell-shocked and must have wondered how he is now in such a dreadful team!

JJ Deserved the response he got when he came on but tbh he did make them better and made them a better team. Thankfully it was all over when he came on but the problem with JJ was always about his attitude and him thinking he was bigger than the club and team. I've already posted about yesterday's team being the 11 from last year with 8 starters from our Conference season but I liked the stat about 5 players being in the team that went down. That's almost half a team! It's probably just me but I think thats an astounding stat and is a great comment about DC and his ability to improve players. UTG!

He probably went to bed after the match, having looked at the L1 table and after a few words with DC and his ex-colleagues, thinking "I might have got that one wrong".
I am assuming, of course, that DC and the 2014 players were willing to talk to him.

Just a Rovers fan for 50 years. Came up on Saturday sat right at the end of the dribuild with really good guys to watch football with. Didn't know them but had a great afternoon of banter and watching us stuff Northampton. Rovers fans are usually friendly, good to talk to and improve the afternoon. As I'm never itk and usually don't know people it's always good to be lucky and sit or stand next to friendly people. They even knew I had come up from the south coast and was a Bournemouth season ticket holder! UTG!

Agree. Atmosphere at Mem way above Bournemouth but perhaps that's because I'm a fan whereas at Bournemouth just a neutral who loves footy. But you do need the moaners to have a go at!! UTG!

Northampton fans need not worry, JJs contract us up in the summer so no doubt he will be putting in some much improved performances to get a move away
