Swindon Town have signed Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett on loan It was all about getting game time. I feel DC may have damaged our future ability to get loan players.

After all, their aim is to loan players outmso they get game time. Him going to Swindon certainly makes me feel a bit sick

All our loanees had a chance and if they didn't do enough then fair enough.

Depends if they rate DC / the BRFC set up or if the loan was agreed for other reasons. I could imagine this could reflect well on us. Who knows! You can imagine the conversation at Cobham might have gone 2 ways: - "That arse Clarke didn't know talent when he sees it, he ain't getting any more of our boys ever the twat" Or - "Interesting that DC gave him some great 1st team experiences, he will have really benefitted from his 17 (our of 23) appearances, just like we wanted. But if he cant cut a regular place at BRFC I think he may need a bit more experience before we look at him again for our 1st team squad" And is it any coincidence his loan is again on the M4 corridor I wonder?

Colkett had a lot of hype and was nowhere as good as people liked to make out, he can be in the future though. Lets hope he uses his 1 good game in 5 before we play them. I completely agree with the above. Had moments of brilliance, looks to have real potential but I am not sure he ever showed enough to demand a first team place. we need players to take game by scruff of neck and be physical when required, I am not sure he ever convinced me of that.

Personally think he will struggle in that Swindon team as they are awful at present.

Much rather be eighth in the league and a point off the playoffs than be languishing in 17th or so but having kept our loan players in the team to please the lenders! None of them nailed down a place if you ask me, even if in some games they looked very promising and helped us to some points. They helped us out, we helped them out. Job done.

Eastleigh Football Club can confirm that Joe Partington has today left the Club and joined Bristol Rovers for a club record transfer fee.
It is a fantastic move, to a super Club and we wish Joe well for the future and thank him for all his efforts whilst at our Club. (1/2) We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Bristol Rovers for the manner in which they approached the signing of Joe. (2/2)

I'd take Partington any day over the 3 lads Swindon have just got in.

The lad Scunny have got in from Rangers (Crooks) would have been good on loan from what i've seen recently, but I prefer permanent signings as well due to the reasons you rightly gave.
