What's going to change next season? The big concern now is DC &/or MT get as disgruntled as some of the fans are getting and decide there's better prospects elsewhere. well said 'obi Jon Kenobi....

For all the disappointed people... why do you think we haven't got good experienced permanent signings in? Before answering, have a real think about it. Put yourself in a player's shoes. A player who doesn't need to jump (because nobody seems to be out of contract in January). A player with a good pedigree at this level or higher. Then look at our surroundings and our facilities. Imagine the facilities you have at your current club. Understand there is a budget that lives within our means. One that doesn't pay championship wages (the reason DC gives in the interview published today when asked about Goalkeepers). Stop making things up about the owner's desire. Stop making things up about DC's ability to know what is needed. Take the facts into account, and ask yourself - would you join Rovers? If they splashed the cash I'd play for anyone. Lower league footballers would as well.

Well for starters there is a whole Summer where there are a lot of players out of contract and free to move around, meaning there are a lot more to choose from. DC is the one making the signings. I don't think he's going to be disgruntled with his own work. UTG!

That was before Sweeney signed. Yeah, probably. DC said 2 or 3 on the Walsall preview, but he doesn't mention Sweeney in it, so I guess it was filmed before that announcement.

I am not disappointed to be honest. I would always prefer players and managers to be going up in their careers rather than coming down. If we had gone for the opposite we wouldn't have had DC or Matty. Most of the conference side and the manager have raised their game to higher levels so why shouldn't these? I wish they were permanent signings but better this than nothing, hopefully permanent signings in the summer.

Just have to thank our lucky stars we had Holloway at qpr and Jerry Francis at stoke to help us out!!!! As sounds like that's all we could afford...

That's also assuming that you would be willing to take a 4k per week pay cut without the guaranteed possibility it would help your career.... You also have to move house and move your life...which is another net cost. If you are under contract at another club with a good length on it, which is one which has much better facilities and one where you can develop as a player and earn more money does Rovers sound like a better option now??

There is no way on god's earth that any player or manager doesn't want promotion. Having a long term vision and plan doesn't mean there is no interest in short term rewards - in fact chasing short term rewards is exactly what saw this club fall to pieces until DC arrived.

for people who are saying why don't we wait until summer... what makes you think we would be in better position this time next season.
we aren't far off the playoffs now. we might have to sign players for a little bit more money now - and why not?
Fleetwood have just signed Wes Burns on 3 year deal. Clearly going to have a dig at promotion and arent bothered about 'not being ready' and fair play to them.

Prefer to thank our lucky stars we finally have an owner and manager with a long term, sustainable vision. It's not going to be like Jack Walker people. But that's ok.

I have ever faith in the manager if he was given a decent budget to work with, unless you think our manager lies to us then you have to accept he was working with a bottom 8 budget which, if anything, is now been cut even further, for all NH's faults he gave his manager's a decent budget. As far as Wael saving us from Admin don't forget it was you who was supporting Gasincider when he started the "New beginning" thread claiming there was a consortium (which wasn't the Al-Q's) prepared to buy out NH, so Admin was never going to happen, that's just scaremongering.

Not being all happy clappy cos I want to see us push for the top 6 but DC's latest interview was good I thought.
States we've had 16 shots on target against us in the last 5 away games and conceded 12 goals.
Hence he's brought in a new keeper who starts tomorrow and 2 new defenders.
Lets give them a fecking chance, he's added to the area he needed to. If they don't improve the situation, then we can start sh**ting ourselves

Hands up who wants to gamble the sh*t out of the financial stability of the club chasing a play off spot?
Now tell me, how does next season's budget look if it fails?

Topper, DC knew what he was getting into and how the club was likely to be run in the summer and signed a contract, therefore he must have had similar views as to how he wanted things to progress on and off the field. There is no reason to believe the budget has been cut, they are purely working the way they want to run this ship. NH did indeed give out decent budgets, sadly they were unsustainable and led us into trouble. And yes there were a few 'buyers' out there for our club and whoever bought us and cleared the debt would have been responsible for saving us - that someone turned out to be Wael al Qadi. I just think you are going over the top thinking the money has been witheld, we have no evidence to support this. Your main gripe appears to be not signing higher division players and i think we need to trust a mans judgement who has delivered two promotions - as yet we have no reason to not think he can get it right Cheers
