I almost feel like we are giving up this season and clearing the decks for next season.
Gone in January or as good as gone Boateng Colkett Gosling Easter Puddy Malpas Lyttle Lawrence McChrystal
In Partington Lumley Sweeney
Incoming - "1 or 2 others"
Hardly pushing for the play offs. Partington looks a good signing on paper but the other 2 are young loanees so can't imagine they are on much. Just doesn't seem very ambitous to me and I am disappointed. I can only assume we may see more of the likes of Broom/Lucas etc?

Funny how we see things differently, i believe we will make a run for the playoffs and am excited at the prospect of our new additions.

Do we really want promotion this season cos I seriously doubt as we could survive in the Championship Reaching the playoffs would be great as it would be a good experience for our players and a money earner. I'm enjoying the evolution and long may it continue Three points tomorrow UTG

What's going to change next season? The big concern now is DC &/or MT get as disgruntled as some of the fans are getting and decide there's better prospects elsewhere.

Another thing. Dc said he wanted permanent signings but would rely on loans if he couldn't get them. Well it doesn't look like he could get them!
I am a fairly optimistic fan, I just feelunderwhelmed. I also think we needed leadership/more experience this window. Partington sounds like a leader but not sure about these 2 loanees!
We shall see. I hope this means Ryan Broom may get a look in now though as I really feel he could break through given the chance.

Sorry don't agree with that one. With the present set up we would really struggle to survive if promoted Hence evolution and when we do go up we stay up. Of course I would love for them to get promoted but I agree with our owners iutlook

You must get so excited at games!

Not many of the 'out' list have disappointed or haven't featured much. DC is freeing up budget for the incoming players I think.
Bit disappointing its loans instead of permanent players, but January isn't an easy window to get the quality players required to push the squad on so loans will do for now!

Incoming - "1 or 2 others" 2 or 3. That was before Sweeney signed.

A stoke fan on twitter described sweeney as vocal and good in the air, sounds just what we need. If we can sort our away form out we will finish near the playoffs this season, better than being in non league isn't it! Still enough time to make more additions, we could still bring in a couple, who knows? UTG

For all the disappointed people... why do you think we haven't got good experienced permanent signings in?
Before answering, have a real think about it. Put yourself in a player's shoes. A player who doesn't need to jump (because nobody seems to be out of contract in January). A player with a good pedigree at this level or higher.
Then look at our surroundings and our facilities. Imagine the facilities you have at your current club. Understand there is a budget that lives within our means. One that doesn't pay championship wages (the reason DC gives in the interview published today when asked about Goalkeepers).
Stop making things up about the owner's desire. Stop making things up about DC's ability to know what is needed.
Take the facts into account, and ask yourself - would you join Rovers?

Yes, he has impressed for their u23 side. He has played 13 games for Wimbledon so isn't new to league football, might take him a bit of time to adjust though.
