The timing is fantastic though. The transfer window is closing soon, so no time for a new bloke to come in, take stock of what he's got, and sign more players.

cant believe some on here tonight, we have not spent 10 million on players and are losing home and away, just a few abject away performances, DC will get the away form right and some will have to eat humble pie!

Why does DC sign players on Thur/Fri...When Monday would give them chance to settle in for the next match,Also Tom L is not a centre half,we need someone big with pace there, he would probably be better as a defensive midfield player in front of the back three /four...what does the forum think or am i the only one who sees this..

I'm sure he'd have it that way if possible. I'm no manager but it must take a while to conclude a deal.

I think Tom Lockyer was by far and away our player of the year last season, playing at....... centre half.

A CM needs to be able to past and that's Locks big weakness, but he needs an Elliott type player alongside him as you suggest. I was hoping Partington might be that player but DC doesn't seem to want to risk him at present but given he's played for Bournemouth in the past you'd have thought he wouldn't have any problems stepping back up to league football.

A trip over to OTIB at the moment will make everyone feel more positive!!! The natives are restless and Mr Lansdown may have just sealed the Bristol derby for next season - at least his ground will be full up!
In Lee Johnson We Trust!
Happy Days!!!

Imo Tom is most certainly, and always has been central defender and should only be used elsewhere if we have excessive injuries in other positions. That said we are lucky that his disciplined approach to playing means he can be trusted to give 100% wherever he is told to play. Going thru a tough time currently (particularly away from home, much like the whole squad) yes, but always a 100%er.

I'm gonna get slaughtered now, but I'm a big boy and can take it, I actually think Lee comes across as a very nice bloke, and agree the personal insults are distasteful. FFS it's only a game, and he will get them relegated!

He does seem like a very pleasant chap, but unfortunately (for teds)his management skills are a pile of sh!te

Yeah I agree he comes across as quite a nice bloke you gotta admire his guts for going back to Trashton where he wasn't that popular in his time as a player --there I said it!!

There are many twists and turns yet. It's only January and both Bristol clubs have plenty to play for.

It does make me laugh how Rovers fans are suddenly taking a liking to the bloke In all fairness though if you compare him with say Cotterill then he is a lot better, Cotterill is an arrogant twat. Talking about Cotts, surprised he is still out of a job.

He came to the Mem for a pre-season friendly and was scared to leave his car due to Gasheads taking the pish, called Ian Holtby to ask for stewards to escort him to the West Stand - what a plonker
