After leaving the mem happy i popped over to sunny twerton to see some mates, and the second half of bath v margate. Ben swallow playing for bottom club margate, few nice touches but nowt to write home about, slipping down the leagues at a young age, where did he go wrong. Don't think he was ever "right", was he? Agree, makes it sound like he's played at a high level or something! He was just too lightweight and never good enough. You do wonder how he would get on with better management like we have now though.

Their left winger was in lots of space, got in a few dangerous positions but thankfully didn't capitalise . I think you must mean their number 11 Brophy who is actually an attacking full back in the same mould as Browner? Thats him,i wish Browner was given that much space going forward,he would have used it better aswell.

A right winger for a right winger, how bizarre and ludicrous By that logic it doesn't matter how crap or off form a player is it's ok for him to come on for a player who is on form and has talent, as long as they play in the same position. It's ok to swap players that are having a positive impact on the game for one that has a negative impact provided they play in the same position? Byron Moore and Luke James for that matter have been given plenty of chances to prove themselves but all the evidence suggests that they are far inferior to the players we had here beforehand Montano is a better player than Moore he can also play on the wing. That would have been a positive substitution that would have kept us on the front foot and with a better chance of killing Swindon off. Instead this substitution and the other two gave us an anxious end to a game that we had been dominating. So it was bizarre, it was potentially a game changer against us, it was like DC started playing for a draw from a winning position! Luckily Swindon weren't good enough to take advantage and we had a keeper who looked half competent. You're talking with hindsight and yes, with hindsight, Moore had a shocker, but I don't think the manager could have expected him to play so badly. At the time we looked like we were tiring after playing a high tempo pressing game, so fresh legs was hardly bizarre or ludicrous.
Montano is a left winger. If DC had put him on the right wing, and we'd conceded a goal, you may now be saying that was a bizarre and ludicrous decision.

Why not? It is becoming pretty standard for Moore.

That was the worst I've seen from Moore this season. He wasn't great at Walsall either.

The comments on Port Vale's fans forum when he left suggest there is an issue with his confidence and suggestions he's too timid, it's a shame as there is a good player there I think but changing his approach/ mind-set at 28 will not be easy. He's had problems in the past and I hoped the move would help put these behind him.

We must remember that footballers are only human of course, with human frailties.

DC could have and in my view should have put Montano on for Bodin. He could've put Montano on the left and asked Sinclair or James to stay on the right to keep a natural balance. My one disappointment with DC this season is his underuse of Montano - yes he is sometimes hit and miss but surely we can all see he carries more threat and quality than either Moore or James !? Moore reminds me too much of Gosling - jogs around.

Swindon were as bad as we let them be. Loved seeing Sinclair further up the pitch chasing their back 4 down, and some solid performances again from the usual crew plus I thought Sweeney was outstanding and Lumley did exactly what a keeper should do.
Happy with the day.

Baggins. If you watched Moore in his defensive duties (forget his attacking stuff ) he didn't /couldn't keep their no.11 quiet BUT as you said we got the 3 pts.

I would have thought it was a given considering DC's love of midfielders tracking back.
I still think our big weakness all over the pitch is pace

I thought their No.11 was man of the match for them. Fast, put a decent ball into the box, thankfully no-one on the end of any of them, but he was good, real good.
