Absolute shambles as far as I am concerned if the £300k release clause in his contract was agreed by our owners. Smells of desperation to me after he buggered us around in the Summer and did not sign until the season was already underway. If thats' the case, lets' see what DC and Wael can come up with to appease what would appear to be a very unhappy fanbase. I for one am very underwhelmed but still hoping we have managed to get at least £2million of Lansdowns fortune for the loss of Taylor. 1. We don't know the £300k price is correct. 2. If it is, imagine the melt-down on here last summer if word got out we could have re-signed him in the summer, but didn't because we didn't want that clause inserted? true,he's still a lady garden though and the club should be a bit more clued up Dam laughable if he has gone for that,I thought the club going in the right direction but if they haven't got a replacement lined up it's a absolute joke

I'm not sure DC and WAQ appreciate how watered off we are going to be at the club for this. Clearly Taylor is the biggest villain but there is going to be some residual anger about what is looking like a poor window for us. Spot on Hugo. If we have sold our star goalscorer for a pittance to the S...e, and the UWE goes' tits up any talk of evolution rather than revolution will certainly test our owners resolve. Problem is how can we keep a player who wants to leave, and we can only agree a deal with the UWE which is feasible for the club and won't eventually bankrupt the club. If everything does go t1ts up this week we're still a Div 1 side, although I guess now there's a bit more pressure on the Al-Q's to thrash out a deal with the UWE.

PPPPP - Poor Plan - water Poor Performance .

It may be £300000 mor than we would have got last summer. It's frustrating but we don't know what he's gone for and last Summer might have been good business. Fans still won't be happy though! UTG!

DC said 1-2 more - leaving it late so presume knocked back. Also unprepared for MT departure?!

Trouble is, what's the priority? A GK should still be a high on the list - as much as Lumley seemed like a safe pair of hands, he had next to nothing to do against Swindon. I think LB cover is now lowest on the priority list.
Hope i'm wrong and we do get another GK, LB and suitable replacement for MT but can't see it happening unfortunately.
