Didn't like him. Didn't rate him. Lazy and missed far too many chances. Pi55ed us around last summer until the last minute and now leaves to go across the river at the eleventh hour for peanuts. If he wanted to do the dirty on us he could not have improved on this performance. Sorry but how can you not rate him as a player? It doesn't surprise me he would do this though. My gut instinct always felt he was capable of this.

His goalscoring record for us was superb and yes he was a bit lazy in some gmes but more han made up for it with his goals. He will always be a lady garden now but can't knock his record whilst with us.

Guess I owe an apology to Bidefordgas and Gasheadblues for sticking up for Taylor so much. I've shown him a lot of loyalty on here. Shame he couldn't show me and his other supporters the same back. I'll still be at Rochdale on Sat.

I hope he enjoys life at his new club, he shows no ambition or class.. I hope he fails miserably and rots like all the other wasters at that club.

Can't wish him any luck. He could've joined any other club in the world and the majority of Gasheads would've thanked him and wished him luck Not quite sure how he can live in Bristol, let alone Emersons Green after this EDited!!!! Gutted he has gone to them.

Tin hat on.... I'd like to thank Matty Taylor for being a massive part of what our club has achieved the last two & a half seasons. Matty has been a fantastic player for us and his goals have been crucial in our rise from the ashes and I wish him well, and I'll never forget the part he has played in a group of lads who have well and truly turned our club around. If I am being honest, I think that we will progress whatever happens - even without Taylor.
I can thank him massively for his contribution to the turn around of the club's fortunes over the last two and a half years. I can admire him for his goals and what they have done for us. I can thank him for staying with the club in the summer and his contribution to our continuing development in League One during the first half of the season (and as a part of that, I can also thank him that as a result of his current contract, the club benefitted financially on his leaving).
The only thing I can't do is wish him success at his new club.
BUT I do have confidence that we will go on to greater things - UTG.

Normally I would say thanks Matty & best of luck, even if he moved for nothing in the summer - but to them!!!!!! Sorry Matty , but I hope your balls fester & never drop off!!

It was pretty obvious he didn't want to be here in the summer and i took a lot of stick for that viewpoint back then, was all building up to this though i'm afraid. He hasn't looked interested for weeks and rarely has been seen celebrating goals scored by others with the rest of the team. Personally i would have withdrawn the contract offer long before he signed and it would have had a 1m release clause in it. We have allowed a very selfish money grabbing individual to manipulate us, partly our fault for allowing it to happen. Ricky lambert treated us with respect whilst taylor has literally shat all over us. If higgs was still in charge it would be held up as more evidence of mismanagement. Let's hope the uwe negotiations are being conducted more professionally than this. Shameful.

Never really felt he had a connection with the fans or wanted to be here.
I was much, much more disappointed when Lambert left.
Taylor has moved for the money after signing a contract with us recently, so deserves not an ounce of respect, will be the worst move of his life.
Just wonder if the club are gonna do a West Ham and refund people with Taylor shirts?!
Sorry Taylor, you've made a big mistake here. But as soon as we get a replacement who can actually score one on ones, you will be long forgotten anyway.
