"Matty had made it very clear that he wanted this move and we are not the kind of club that will stand in the way when a player has made up his mind."

Tin hat on.... I'd like to thank Matty Taylor for being a massive part of what our club has achieved the last two & a half seasons. Matty has been a fantastic player for us and his goals have been crucial in our rise from the ashes and I wish him well, and I'll never forget the part he has played in a group of lads who have well and truly turned our club around. Agreed but I'm still really watered off with him. Changed my mind. After reading his interview after signing, f**k him. Hope he scores f**k all and is hated by both sides of Bristol.

It's Instagram, but still.
Having had time to reflect I'm still annoyed, I would have been more than happy to see him go to ANY other club, but no, he chose our arch rivals.
His choice and if that's what he wants then so be it, but he could have left on really good terms at a club where he would have been appreciated forever and possibly welcomed back in a coaching role in the future(his goal scoring record speaks for itself). I even like JJOT more than I like Taylor and that says a lot.
His goals helped a lot but the amount of chances he had put on a plate that he missed was astonishing. It's more his footballing brain than his finishing that has got him where he is and unfortunately for him, from what I've heard from City fans they just don't create much and so I can't see him being a success there. He gets himself into great positions but he needs chance, after chance, after chance to score.
Thanks for the memories, unfortunately they mean f**k all now. Enjoy your friendly new atmosphere in a half empty new stadium. Should be 9 L's on the bounce after tonight. See you next season(That's if they don't loan you out to Barnet)
