Having listened to our Chairperson on the radio both times recently, i starting to get the feeling he is hiding something from us. Just a gut feeling based on nothing more.
Are the rumors about his previous chairperson job with the Swans playing out with the rovers ?
How do you feel about him and do you still TRUST him with our club ?
At the moment i'm having some very serious doubts about this mans ability to move our club forward.

SH is just the spokesman for the Al-Qadi's, he's not another NH someone in control of the big decisions.
Let's see what the next couple of weeks brings re the UWE & Almondsbury.

Just what we need. More scaremongering.

The owners & DC are more important than SH. I'll await their comments.

Yep, seems like a good bloke doing a difficult job that is dragging on through no fault of his own. Seems like he's happy to communicate but limited by what he is legally, and sensibly, able to say in public. He gets grief for saying nothing, even when there isn't anything to say and then when he does say something, he gets grief for saying there isn't much to say.
Not sure whether this latest anti-Hamer thing is due to Matty leaving, but if it is, then that's not really sound thinking. Looks to me like we were perfectly willing to bung most of the Matty silver on to a replacement striker, but that was hardly Hamer's fault it fell through.
Anyway, I'd forgotten what these crises are like. We haven't really had one since the early days of the conference season. Had totally forgotten about them, so that's something. Hopefully it will be a couple of years till the next one.

Did he score or was it own goals? Penalties, so they don't count.

Still? I've never trusted him. Just a personal opinion, he comes across as insincere and smug.
And I wish he would stop the constant hinting at good news being around the corner. Then nothing happens. Then he gets grumpy when quizzed about it!!

Have never took to him and don't trust him. He was always going to get an easy ride after Higgs though and wih the Al Qadi's taking us over.

I didn't get caught up in all the euphoria when the new owners arrived. Of course I'm grateful to them as they enabled the club to continue and have tarted up the Mem and enabled DC to bring some young and cheap players to the club. I go along with the old adage that if something seems to good to be true it probably is. All the glad handing, being carried shoulder high down the street and inviting Points West to travel abroad left me cold. I might change my opinion when I hear concrete (excuse the pun) news about the training ground and stadium; when we keep our best players; and when we attract players significantly better than those we have. Evolution rather than Revolution is all well and good, but evolution took us as a race millions of years to get where we are now, and to the cynic could appear as a rational for spending little!

It is right to be vigilant with your board but I am no more trusting or less trusting than I was 48 hours ago.
Hamer isn't smug, Hamer tries to be positive and give an upbeat message.
Truth is, I think UWE is buffered and he could do sod all about Taylor. Taylor held the cards and his interview last night said as much. He isn't an ametuer and an ametuer would have come out with a flea in his ear condemning Matt Taylor. We had a mature and upbeat message and that is called leadership. I know it's BS, he knows it's BS. I am sure privately there is much anger about this but as a company man you don't come out with doom and gloom. It gets you nowhere. Instead, winners think about next week, the next signing and the next season. We spend decades trying to get out of division three before, why do we think we have the right to buy our way to the championship? We tried that before and had 20 years of basement rubbish. This is league one folks and the next jump up is one we have always, always found difficult. We aren't that big a club to expect promotion at the first go in league one and we cannot compete at the present time against bcfc, no matter how much we want it. This isn't Twerton era, they have millions and we are still in a dump with limited income.
What I am saying is don't disintegrate or blame Hamer et al for Matt Taylor and don't expect s right to promotion in league one. We are no longer the big boys. Getting personal isn't great either, he's one of our employees and on our side ultimately.

Still only 1-0 for me, but we have to stop deliberately handling the ball and giving away needless penalties.

What he says in the role of a responsible chairman answerable to the constraints of the position and what he wants to say as a person may well be two different things.

Dunno about hiding something or whether I trust him or not but I certainly dislike him and have from the start, he's just a sneaky politician and the way he speaks and answers questions without actually answering them really bothers me
