Listening to DC's fantastic interview he says no other Championship club came in for MT and that he knew the reason why. Very cryptic and wondered if anyone got a clue what that reason might be?

Taylor's agent told Lee about the release clause and figured he could kill two birds with one stone.
1) By City offering high wages which no other championship club would be willing to match
2) Distracting attention from City fans wanting Little Lee sacked.

The parties to his contract should have been MT, BRFC, the agent and Solicitors. Only two of those parties had a motive to spill the beans. I hope the contract and transfer are deemed void and we are able to sell him to league one clubs, whoever bids the highest. DC did say that plenty were interested last Summer. Points deduction would be a bonus.

Imagine if they had points deduction and got relegated. Funnier than Chewbacca mum x 10.

He was offered to every championship club and league one last minute to stop him going to the s**t but he wanted the championship only. None of the champ clubs rated him to perform at that level at the wages his agent was asking for. Only the s**t came in, knowing a bid of £300k would be enough to trigger his release clause. Taylor saw it as his only chance to play at that level and at those wages and took it. With a good run in the side Luke James will come good I believe. DC certainly thinks so, so let's see. I remember seeing him score 2 against us for Hartlepool and thought then he's a good player.

May have answer... Bbc reporting -
Bristol Rovers are to make an official complaint to the English Football League over Matty Taylor's deadline-day move to local rivals Bristol City.
Lee may have known too much about our deal with Taylor

Its one thing knowing it, another thing proving it. true enough, but I assume (and it is only an assumption) that FL tribunals work with the same burden of proof as civil trials, i.e. "on balance of probabilities", rather than "beyond reasonable doubt".
