It still doesn't explain why up to Christmas LJ was played mainly as a right winger and JE was MT's obvious replacement when it came to subs. If LJ's such a good finisher why's he never been given a chance upfront before?
Exactly, no reason why he couldn't play up top with wots-his-face but DC preferred Gaffney, Ellis or Easter...the latter surplus to requirements!! Seemed he was way down the pecking order for a position he is now the messiah for.

If he played James over Taylor a load of armchair pundit pricks would be berating him for not playing Taylor. If he didn't score some said pricks would destroy his confidence. If he doesn't play the 2-6-2-1 formation that a n other pundit saw as the answer after the game, he gets sh**. God knows what swapping Taylor for James would have produced. Correct, DC even got stick for putting Moore on for 20 minutes last Saturday Fixed that for you.

Why would our Press Officer be present at a Press Conference elsewhere? god knows! Adam Baker and Keith Brookman sound very similar. On radio it's very easy to mistake one for the other!

That's weird because that's exactly what I thought when I watched it too. Clearly knows where the goal is and maybe now he's going to get a good run in the side DC and Stewy can get him scoring again. I find it a bit odd that he hasn't had more game time to date as you'd think if he was MT's direct replacement when we got him in the summer then DC would be looking to get him into the system a bit earlier so he could hit the ground running. And the downside of course is that I think we only have him on loan so if he does well presumably we either won't be able to buy him or his price will go skyrocketing. Peterborough paid half a mill for him so they are hardly going to give him away I'd imagine. Darrell clearly has faith in him though so fingers crossed he starts finding the net. All fair points. Though I'm not sure DC gives a **** what anyone else thinks such is his own self-belief. Which is a good thing I might add!

All he needs is one goal and his confidence will come, Luke has not had long enough on the pitch this season and strikers thrive off getting off the mark. Come on Luke you can do it and the snake only scored 1 goal in his first 10 appearances, UTG

personally his movement reminds me of the late great Micky Barrett PS can we not refer to him as LJ I keep thinking of that Twat over the river ! Can you be a bit more specific please. There's so many Twats on the other side of the river it's a bit hard to know who you're on about.

Is James only on loan?

Yep, season long loan with the "option to buy" whatever that means. Hopefully it means any price has been pre-agreed.

Steve Phillips was quite interesting explaining how nasty it was when he moved to us - clearly there is a big percentage of meat heads on that side of the River, but I wonder what Taylor made of those comments if he heard them ? Taylor in an interview was also questioned about Police presence outside his home and a city official interrupted and changed the subject. f**k me this seems to be popping up everywhere this week though so hardly interesting.

He actually was quoted as saying he had watched Luke James video of goals for Hartlepool and that he scored some good 1 on 1s something Taylor never did - have to say he has a point ..... Anyone who doubts James can score goals given a run should watch the video. ) Two against us in 13/14. Luke James sent the Gas down... As has been said elsewhere, there's something of the Marcus Stewart about him, and it's not just the floppy hair. Would love it if he started scoring for fun. Bloody love it.

Oh, well, since when was football ever black and white. Lets just give him a chance, eh?

Two consecutive promotions suggest that's not a worry anyway, we just need one consistent scorer at any one given time.
Hopefully Ellis, James or Bodin can do that until the end of the season.

True, to be fair they are increasingly rare in football generally. We've really had a Taylor + Tall bloke partnership, of Harrison/Gaffney/Blisset/Random loanee

After we sold Penrice in '89, the main source of our goals was Boris Mehew ghosting in from right midfield. Doesn't matter where they come from as long as someone steps up. Bodin could well be the man.
