I imagine it's more evolution not revolution than a stadium. A stadium is useless until it's complete and complicated, inconvenient and expensive to improve when it's done. Something like this can be improved bit by bit, and can be used fairly early on. Thats why the offices will be port a cabin to start with then when the indoor pitch is built the proper offices will be Incorporated into that. BUT How about the bar for the "players" to use....will that be open to the public Henbury, but we have one at the current training ground.
The 50p ham or cheese and onion sandwiches are an absolute bargain AND are fresher than those sold at The Mem

Bleedin' Almondsbury. Bit of a way to go for a beer. Not if you live in Almomdsbury, it would be close then wouldn't it? You know, you're right. Stupid Boy Bags.

I remember as a kid watching Rovers train in Eastville Park and the horrible cinder pitch at the Muller Road end which was very occasionally use if the park was too wet. The old Frenchay training ground offered a glimmer of light before it was sold-off (can't remember who was in charge then) and it's been a long nomadic existence since.
So I'm delighted that this need has been sorted and really hope it's a first step in a journey forward for our club. Well done Wael and his family.

Is theee any plan drawings for training ground, would be nice to see em The original application (the one that we got amended), shows 8 pitches, 2 of which are floodlit, a car park for 214 cars and 8 coaches, a store for groundsman's equipment, and a clubhouse with 8 changing rooms, a kitchen and lounge bar area. Presumably we will build one of the floodlit pitches as a 4G one. There will also I assume, need to be another building, or second storey to the already consented one, to accommodate the necessary offices, treatment rooms etc. Access to an indoor football area 60 by 40 yards is required, so while it does not have to be at the principal site, we could include the extra offices etc. if we built one at The Colony.

I think it's a great name. Super distinctive. Think it's a book by Kafka.

If rovers were to adopt an author, it would have to be Kafka. That's it from me, r get back to my stupidly hot pork dish and chang.

Excellent news, well done everyone involved.
I do like the name now, although the first time I read it quickly and thought it just said The colon, but that probably says more about me than anything.
