I thought he was a class act today. Won everything that came his way and marshaled the troops at the back.
Well done Neal.

Plymouth fans thought he was sh** there but he has been a revelation the past 2 games for us. I hope McChrystal doesn't get back in the team anytime soon.

Our fans were also writing him off after his first game for us! Assuming McChrystal is injured and hasn't just been dropped then once fit it looks like Parkes position is now most under threat. Although the back 5 now looks pretty strong.

Bit shaky to start with against Telford bit was my MOTM today. He deserved a clean sheet.

Looks a genuine threat from set plays for us too. Hit the bar against Telford and out one not far over today with only a few minutes to go.

Both Trottman and Lockyer were immense

Have not missed McChrystal at all, infact we are much better defending crosses, just the centreback we need in this division wins the majority of his headers, and will score if we get the delivery right from dead ball situations, did like our corner routine that nearly got him in at the far post

Our centre backs very rarely come close to scoring from set pieces so good to see somebody who looks like he might pop up with the odd one now and again.

The referee didn't give either side a chance to score from a set piece, giving a free-kick to the defending team every time.

Would like to see Trotman and Lockyer as CB pairing.

Agree with everything above - thought Trotman was very good today.
Absolute beast in the air against two strong and powerful strikers. Played very well.

Would not surprise me in the slightest if Trotman and Turley are our first choice centrebacks by Nov/Dec time.

Echoing the above, I thought Trotman was outstanding and I have no doubt his short-term deal will be extended because he's a beast in central defence. Like every player at this level he has his weak points but overall he's a dominant central defender. As Bideford says, Trotman and Turley could very easily be our first choice pairing if/when he is fit and signs for the club.
Well done Neal and, overall, well done defence.

He was rubbish today, in fact rubbish in every game he's played. If I was DC I'd probably go ahead and extend his contract but not for a penny more than he's on at the moment!! Once signed long term I may change my views on his performances so far!

He had a good game against 2 very accomplished strikers. His ball playing is ok aswell for dedicated old fashioned CB. He is better than Macca because the ball doesn't bounce and the strikers are aware of his presence. Regardless of the defence though, the jewel in the crown is Mildy. His stewardship is vital.

Spot on about letting the ball bounce. The worst thing about McCrystal is he lets it bounce when he should put his foot through it first time. You can only get away with letting it bounce if your very quick and he ain't.

He was superb yesterday. Each game he grows in confidence and gets better. The way he played, he's a sure to start ahead of McChrystal.
