We should just put this to the past mow. Respect Matty for his goals whilst he was here, despise him for the end and move on. By "we" I mean us as fans, the Manager, the owner, the Chairman -the entire club. We are bigger than one player and I really thought these investigations and appeals were a thing of the Nick Higgs reign. Personally I can't see what there is to win but far more to lose. If we have good reason to believe that league regulations have been broken, then we have a duty to inform the League.

it's easy to say move on, but in my opinion, this will rumble on for years to come.
It will, I think he has completely underestimated the situation and probably felt it would be chip paper after a week or two.
I hope he is made to hate the rest of the time he is in Bristol, on and off the pitch.

I heard he had to make a quick dash away from The Brass Pig on Saturday night. Had his own booth and security, bless him. so who was it that sent the 50 Pizza to his hotel room over the weekend then...
I heard about that, what company would deliver 50 pizzas without checking its legit first though?

I once had an ex who used to send me ten pizzas or so. She would order just two pizzas from different places.

Yes, I guess the sh*t would say that the fee was common knowledge and in the public domain. To do anything we would need evidence that the snake or his agent talked to the sh*t before the release cause was triggered or evidence that it was the snake or his agent who put the figure into the public domain. We all, I think, know or suspect some under-hand dealing but unless there is firm evidence it's probably best just to move on but not forget. I'm not so sure. Over on otib one of their posters reported it as being 360K at the beginning of November. I made a mental note of it at the time as it wasn't being touted in the press anywhere, and I thought how the hell would a city fan know this? The poster didn't want reveal his source back then, but he now says it was a Rovers player that had told him. If true, it's easy to see how this info could've leaked from anywhere and will be very difficult to prove anything underhand went on. Source: www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/180596-matty-taylor (scroll down to the comment by ooRya on 6th November). Then see his update last Friday here: www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/182946-football-league-launch-probe-into-matty-taylors-transfer/&page=8#comment-2756440It could only leak from the player or his agent regardless of how the 82'ers eventually found out, if they've broken the FL rules by leaking that info then they should be punished in accordance with the rules (assuming there are such rules!).

The thing is City as a club wont be punished as they would say the info was in the public domain. Not sure how anyone can prove anything so its not worth pursuing, just maybe never deal with that particular agent again.

I saw on twatter reports of his location in town, he is either completely stupid or a bare faced liar. He says he went to the darkside for the good of his family, in which case why was he not at home with them then? If that was the case why did he go to a bar he is known to attend with regularity, his insensivity appears to go hand in hand with his stupidity. They are welcome to Mr Twatty Maylor

Now this sounds like a thread that should go into the Gentleman's Lounge (or General Chat)

They are welcome to Mr Twatty Maylor There is no way his agent couldn't circulate his release clause to many Championship clubs and had his pick. Only 1 championship club being interested in someone who has scored as many as him recently, all for just £300k, stinks to high heaven.
It seems he actually had his heart set on joining the teds, and that is why I hope he gets grief whenever he walks the streets of our fair city.

In fairness, I think I'd be prepared to put up with some aggro for £16k p/w - assuming that figure is true!
