My car broke down on the way, not far from Stoke, so we had to get a taxi to the game and just missed Carl Saunders goal.
Had to hitch home, and managed to get a ride in the back of a van with some other Gasheads.
Happy days!

We certainly did - in the first half, then Souness switched McManaman and he ran the show and the Kop made one hell of a noise and in fairness they almost blew us out the stadium! Back when the Kop was something very special. Great night tho. Good times.

Dirty cheat Dean Saunders. We used to drink with Jock in the FOB bar. After the Liverpool game it was mentioned to him what a dirty bastard Saunders was only for Jock to say 'Nah, I got him with one just before' obviously the cameras didn't see that one!

11th February 1992, we lost 2-1 to Liverpool! Remember it well, my Birthday. Travelled up on my own, club coach. Walking back to the coach parked up on the road by the park, with loads of other Gas, in the distance I could hear "Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool", then it went "Live..." and stopped. Few seconds later walked past some Scouser on the floor, bloody face, obviously some Gas had twatted him on the way through.

A bloke from my football team organised the bus for the trip.......and it was literally that, a friggin double-decker bus! I doubt it got above 50mph on the motorway, and the seats....dear god above, the seats induced chronic arse ache.

Always maintained it was mcmanaman who turned the tie as the video shows we just couldn't stop his runs in the 2nd half
