Do people on here think he'll be coming back to Rovers once he's back to full fitness? We already have Hartley, Lockyer, Burn and Sweeney as well as Partington who can also pay CB.

I personally hope so. I rated him quite highly.
Also the more competition we have the better.
Think he's due back from injury in about a week isn't he?

I thought he was a fantastic prospect myself, but Sweeney looks undropable, Lockyer is almost back to his best, Burn is supposed to be just as good. Also, Hartley's goals could prove important. Will he get enough game time to please Chelsea?
I'm not sure when he's due back.

Be surprised if we see him again. Spoke to Hartley today said he won't be back training until end of March. Had the pleasure of chatting to Sweeney too - what a nice lad - he is so so hungry to do well for us ! We are lucky Gasheads to have him till the rest of the season.

I guess he'll return if Chelsea don't want him back, although it's hard to see where he fits into the team/squad now as we seemed to have more than enough CB's if you also include J Clarke.

Hartley got fined for talking about his injury publically. Guess you've just condemned him to a second fine.

In an ideal world he'd be back with us. I thought he was a solid young player with good potential - less flashy than Colkett but much more consistent. But as mentioned elsewhere, it depends if Chelski are happy with the situation of him not being a first team regular.

Assuming sweeney stays fit, don't think we need him do we?

I dont think jcs will be back this season Unless we go on a run and are in serious play off consideration I think this is a good shout. We are building for the future and if we're not sure Clarke-Salter will be here next season, there's little point in playing him, especially if it's alongside another loanee at the back.

Judging on today's performance, we're full of endeavour, but we're still quite a way off competing for top six. Looking forward to next season though. UTG

I personally think we've seen the last of him in a Rovers shirt and he'll head back to Chelsea. On Colkett briefly, future potential very much the same, but he seems to have ended up in a really p**s poor Swindon team that look nailed on to add a relegation to his resume.. Not that I'll lose any sleep if they get relegated..

Not that I'll lose any sleep if they get relegated.. Yeah, looks like he's going backwards at Swindle. Maybe he would have been better off with us. Eg, him coming on in the hole yesterday instead of Broom could have been just what we needed. from their forum: Colkett looked like a schoolkid who'd won a competition, summed up perfectly by his scuffed shot from 15 yards out at the death, when a simple placed shot into the corner would have leveled the score.

I guess he'd struggle to get much game time at present and I guess Chelsea and the lad will have have to decide if they are happy for him to sit on the bench as cover for injury or suspensions and the occasional Central League reserve fixture. Which is better, the occasional league 1 outing or back to U21 football? Personally, I'd prefer him to stay but I can see him going back.

Colkett is getting game time at Swindon, but I wonder how much good it's doing him. I really wanted him to play more when he was with us but as always, looks like DC's selections with regard Colkett were correct. I think staying here would have been better for his development - even with less game time!

Underestimating DC, looks like it's to every doubters peril, he's gonna make mistakes, but I personally don't think he's Made any big ones long may it continue UTG

Lines & Clarke are a much better partnership, and in hindsight it looks like DC has got it correct yet again.
