He will never be praised the same way that Lines and Bodin are for their skill and technical ability, but I thought Sinclair in the role he played last night was immense. The Dirty side of football is never a pleasant one, chasing the ball and player down, quick offload to more technical players and getting stuck in to break down attacks, but Sinclair does it brilliantly.
You need a player like Sinclair to cover every blade of grass and close down your opponent. He won more tackles than any other player on the park last night, made more short passes than most and without doubt covered the most distance.
The criticism he receives on here and social media I find to be nothing short of Bizarre. It wouldn't surprise me if the people who don't see the job he does are the same one's who think Ngolo Kante is what made Leicester City great last season and Chelsea on fire this season.
Thank you Stuey, keep it up! Fear the beard.

In Your opinion, just as valid as mine, you consider him a good player... I do not

When its cold and windy and the teams under pressure someone with Sinclairs never give up attitude is whats needed. At Accrington last season lots of the team seemed to give up but Sinclair kept going, putting in hard tackles on Windass and at least giving the travelling support something to cheer about,I hope he gets a new contract this summer.

Spot on mate. Work rate and determination 100%. Ability 30%. He was one of the major reasons why we did not look like scoring until DC removed him I think was more the case of a change in system than a player that put us more on the offensive in the last 20 mins or so. Up to that point we had been playing a kind of 4-3-2-1, which largely kept us solid against a top team. The change wasn't about a player, it was a change in shape going to 4-4-2 and "having a real go" as DC put it, later in the game. That change gave us numbers in the flanks in the final 3rd and stretched the Blades. Nothing to do with Sinc as a player. Sincs does a job and a useful and valid member of the squad. Played well last night, as he has done consistently lately.

He is a great person to have at this club, but should not be such a regular starter. Especially at home matches. In saying that, I think it was him that set up Guffney with a glorious pass which Ginger blasted over the bar, in the first half.

I'm not going to get bogged down in the whole 'better or worse' nonsense, but surely the double substitution showed us the ability we have now to change set up quickly and effectively during the match and that it is all preplanned....
a game we could've won using an aliesque rope-a-dope....

And you need players like that as well as the ability 100% determination and work rate 30% to create a good well balanced team. That's what our manager has done and we're right to praise him for it wouldn't you agree ?

Playing Stu at the tip of a diamond midfield worked on Saturday as he stopped the keeper from starting it from the back, again last night he was used to disrupt play which he did very well!
Apart from the defence he was our best player last night, his pressing almost created a chance when Bodin went in the middle and Harrison on the right for a GK, they played it short, and Bodin and Sincs pressured their defence which gave Bodin a chance at goal, unfortunately it was deflected into the side netting.
I was surprised when DC took him off, but by changing shape and going 4-4-2 it worked, almost very well!

He has been outstanding since he joined us. As others have said you need a mixture of types of player, Stuart does so much selfless running, tackling, heading that others can get away with concentrating on what they are best at.
You wouldn't want 11 Sincs but you wouldn't win many with 11 Bodins or 11 Sweeneys.
It's a team - that's why DC picks him almost every week.
Personally think we should celebrate the teams efforts & results rather than one guy.

Bloody hell. I must be colored blind. Excuse the pun It definitely was Sinclair. Yep, was definitely Sinclair and was a superb pass. My personal opinion is that people go over the top with him not having much ability. He has far more than most give him credit for. Rarely gives the ball away (his passes are NOT all backwards and sideways) and dribbles well too. Whereas I wouldn't start him in every game, especially not games which we look to set out all attack from the off, he is a player who has been steadily improving along with the club over the last 3 seasons and for me epitomises everything about what DC brings to the team. Long live the Beard.
