No indication as to why. If I understood what was said about half has been recovered and the rest is 'on its way'/covered (I didn't really understand that bit!) I sensed it meant the culprit had returned the majority, and the rest (which they've already spent) will come very soon on the sell of their property which the SC has a 'first charge' on. so i can only assume they have no mortgage. JTS is right.

Th e most interesting thing SH said tonight was that he is convinced the UWE will happen, but that THERE IS A PLAN B . He didn't go in to detail but confirmed there was one.

It was a bigger turnout tonight, guess that was to be expected. Felt a bit sorry for Jim Chappell, who at one point was near to tears. I guess not suprising to be upset and have to talk about it especially if the culprit is someone you have known for years and consider a friend and someone who is supposed to be a Gashead like the rest of us. In the real world, the chair would basically be forced to resign if they didnt fall on their sword, but in the case of BRSC, i dont think many are queuing up to toake on the responsibilities and the best/most that can be asked of is that those who are willing to sit at the top table and spend a lot of their free time doing it, get the house in order

Small amounts over a period of time......not enough scrutiny to spot that it was happening. [/quote]
They would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky auditors!!

I was hoping that there would be some info from a Q&A of the board members there. The fraud isn't that interesting, unless you're a SC member I suppose. The 'Easter' question was asked to SH. He said if he plays he is likely to trigger a clause that gives him another years contract, plus his agent is the same one as Matty Taylor had and i think SH said ' you don't invite someone in your home who has stole off you before' or along those lines. I thought SH came across as a man who is relaxed in his position and with a certain amount of humour. Certainly was positive about the owners and a new stadium, his explanation of the "checkatrade" trophy debacle was interesting. I can imagine the language used by Barry Fry to be extremely colourful. I was also glad that Geoff Dunford put his point across about the Alledged misappropriation of supporters club funds, defused some of the barbed (in my opinion) comments aimed at the commitee. All in all I am glad I attended. Gave me a chance to pay my FFSC subs, even though the method of exchange brought a raised eyebrow from JTS

The Snake Taylor transfer was discussed. SH said that the EFL were looking into a number of transfers where "insider dealing" was suspected. He said that although Rovers had a strong case it would of consumed a lot of time and effort which needs to be focused on the new stadium and training facility, hence dropping the complaint. The "transfer policy" which Rovers and City have agreed is basically whilst the two current regimens are in charge there will be no transfers between the two clubs.
I am sure you have all seen the BristolSports adverts on billboards and buses around the city. So I spoke to SH after the meeting about how the club plan to go about marketing and maintaining a media presents going forward. He said that it was something the club are looking at currently and are looking to target the Airport initially.

On a night where the main topic was misappropriation of funds it was a bit weird to find out you were handing over a tenner to Parrot in the gents toilet!

I can't help feeling that they've got one over on us again as a result of this. Having hijacked Taylor, they've basically looked at the rest of our squad and said they don't want anyone else, whilst denying us the ability to pick up someone out of favour at Ashton Gate. Still, I suppose there are plenty more players from plenty more clubs that are more honourable in their dealings.

Um anyone believe there has been a legally binding agreement that there will be no transfers? A gentleman's agreement is going to count for f**k all the next time a possible transfer comes along.

JC agreed that it would be a good idea to publish minutes of committee meetings on the SC website. Transparency, accountability, information...............
Also, re: membership..... Cost to remain the same next season. New, cheaper, rate for U21s Would consider Family Membership, and costs for youngsters travelling on SC coaches (currently pay full price)
SH re-iterated that Checkatrade Trophy had been a mess. Would like to see regional qualifying, lower league teams only.

Probably not. From my perspective, we've lost a good player for peanuts, but at least we got another 20 goals from him and some useful cash - neither of which we would have got if he had left in the summer. Rovers appear a little naive and a little bit bitter, but powerless to prevent the deal from happening. City appear the smug shits we all know they are that are happy to bend the rules - rubbing our noses in it with their absurd posters and hashtags. Nasty club that noone likes and I'd be happy never to do business with them again.
