What grounds that you have visited this season have you liked/disliked and what makes it good?
My favourite has been Fleetwood. Friendly people, tidy little ground. Well organised clubhouse. £1.50 for sausage and chip overs the road. Good team as well to be fair. Liked the fact the tram was literally outside too.
Stamford Bridge was a little disappointing as I was sat under the roof which was leaking, I liked the ground other than that to be fair but just surprised me with all their millions that they wouldn't repair something so little.
Northampton is probably the weirdest I have visited, felt ripped off as could have watched it on the hill and it was just a weird ground.

Scunthorpe, easy to park. Sat in main stand with the locals, friendly bunch and friendly in their clubhouse and we were back where we should be. Almost got something as well. What was not to like apart from the last 20 minutes!

I'm not really looking forward to Oxford. Everything I hate in a ground, in the middle of nowhere, no pubs etc nearby, only 3 stands and a nightmare to get out of. I prefer stadiums near the centre as opposed to next to a retail park.

Yeah Sixfields has got to be one of my least favourite grounds too, soulless hole, but then it's in Northampton and the only good thing to come out of there is the A428! I've got a bit of a soft spot for Spottlands, nice, neat, unassuming, easy to park and get a beer right at the ground. Weirdest for me is Port Vale, huge and for no apparent reason, and that stand to our right that they just seem to have forgotten to finish half way through. Not to mention the huge Police presence for a crowd of 5,000.

A ground that impressed me was Bradford's Valley Parade. I went there twice pre 1985 (the awful fire). What they have done to the ground and the way its been built is amazing. Was good atmosphere too and the pubs on the main road were friendly.

Really enjoyed the walsall supporters club. Huge room with Sky Sports quick to get a beer and right next to the ground.
Stadium wise I enjoyed Charlton. In amongst the houses and close to the train station.
Didn't enjoy the game much there though.

Bradford for me too. How they got away with building such huge stands on three sides allowing no light to ever get to some of the houses is amazing. Bristol would have exploded of someone tried that here.
Have to disagree about Scunthorpe. Just another soulless out of town ground. No atmosphere either from the home fans. Same as Shrewsbury.
Like Charlton as well and it reminded me of the Bradford ground. Really friendly pub beforehand too.

mine is shrewsbury the main reason is its the only home game I get , and on top it is easy to park a good view and home 10 minutes after final whistle

I guess the next main stadium review will be when we all visit the RICOH Arena, home to falling club, Coventry City. Ive had the pleasure of visiting both Highfield Road and the RICOH. For me, the RICOH is a nice new stadium, but needs to be more than half full to create a decent atmosphere. If we are allowed 4,000 tickets or more, then we can create that missing atmosphere. There's a casino built onto the RICOH that is worth a visit. Not sure where the nearest pub is though. Me visit to the ROCOH was 3/4 years ago to watch the Womens FA Cup Final between Bristol Academy (now Bristol Sports Women) and Arsenal. So, there you have it.

I think we'll take a few to Coventry but 4000 is a little optimistic isn't it? Especially if there's not much chance of playoffs by then. I'd say 1500-2000 is more realistic. UTG!

Yea I remember it took an hour to get out of the car park last season!
Shame really as their old Manor ground was one of my favourites.

All round atmosphere and friendliness more important. Found friendly people in Scunthorpe clubhouse and in their main stand very friendly and chatty and made for a good day. UTG!

I wonder what all the other clubs think of the mem? Let's be honest it's got to be one of the worst facility wise for away supporters although the Sheffield Utd fans were surprisingly complimentary about us! I'm going to the Kassam next weekend yes sh** ground but always a tremendous atmosphere when the gas are in town.

Most comment on the poor facilities and poor view, but then we get brownie points for being old skool, especially from people used to soulless stadiums with no terracing or local pubs.

Only the miserable git who started that thread! Just saw that one of the sh1ts stands is named after Lansdown already, thats and bit egotistical.
