Not sure signing a CM just to cover a possible suspension makes any sense, when Sincs or Manse can cover for a couple of games, just hope Harrison is fit or we're short of numbers upfront if we now have to play with two strikers. Who is going to cover Sins if Sincs is covering O Clarke? It depends if we had any ambitions of trying to go up which by not signing one told me we didn't. With respect, You can still have ambition with the squad you have. Thinking Darrell and the lads lack ambition is well wide of the mark imo it's just not in his DNA.

That's a shame I thought it was earlier than that. Oh well everyone's in the same boat, although not everyone would have had a booking for a game that didn't exist.
Yes, bookings and sending off do count in abandoned games but goals DO NOT count in a players total.

That doesn't seem fair at all. Imagine if we were 3-0 up via a O Clarke hat trick against Swindon with the game being called off. His 3 goals would get taken away but not his booking. Crazy rule.

Was thinking of that at the time of my post.

From the highlights it seemed like the yellow against Oxford was more of a foul by James Clarke than Ollie. Could we appeal it on a case of mistaken identity? Given that JC won't reach ten it must be worth it.

Our excellent home form has been based on playing 2 up top so I see no reason to change this against Southend.
As such I would imagine he'll go 442 with Bodin and Monty wide of Lines and Sincs, with Gaff and LJ up top. It does at times leave us a bit exposed down the middle but I'd like to think we'll dominate possession and we should have plenty of options with the ball, given the width and LJ in behind.
For what it's worth I imagine brown and leads will start for the legs and overloads going forward, with locks and sween a given.
It looks a bold, attacking selection but we now realistically have to win every home game so nothing to lose.

We are pretty much safe now so no need to be cautious just play to our strengths and go all out for wins, home and away. If we get beat doing that then fair play to the opposition.

So you didn't think we needed to stregthen our midfield in January to give ourselves a better chance of competing this season? Compare how much squad depth we have in defence to midfield for example.

They have until the second Sunday of April for the 10-card accumulation.

Please. I`m still on my first coffee of the day; far too early for metaphysical speculation.

Depends on whether you think a lightly raced Lee Mansell is still up to the job, I guess. Personally I wouldn't be disappointed to see him line up alongside Lines against Southend as they have shown in the last two seasons that they work very well together.

He has never been an established league one player so don't see much changing at the age of 34. I wouldn't actually be surprised if he plays Partington in midfield or at least brings him on for Mansell seeing as he is back in the development side today.

In that case it'll be interesting to see where Partington plays today, defence or CM.
