It's been moth balled then.
I can't understand... Why would we....if...? Surely the BOD and DC should have... Not sure why... Wael has lost...

While we're waiting for planning permission, can't we grow organic cabbages on the site and sell them to the London hipsters in Bristol?

The whole ground is now a sea of yellow weeds, I'm surprised we've not at least mowed the pitches, so either the club must intend digging the whole lot up now and then re-seeding the pitches or it's just been moth balled. No point mowing the pitches as I expect they will all need to be dug up, with proper drainage systems installed.

I guess that's what we'll be led to believe but The Colony's turned into the UWE MK2, something else we never get any updates about.

Maybe this training ground is going to be much better than we all first thought?

Why so much negativity? So Wael leaves the AGM early, new pitches not started at The Colony, budget figures not publicly announced and UWE saga continues, all seem to point to disaster in the eyes of some posters (the usual suspects in fact!). I believe this summer will be the best in living memory and that things will begin to move forward at a real pace. No point doing the pitches at The Colony if we have no other facilities there - do we want the players to change in their cars or something? When there was an advert for an assistant groundsman, it clearly stated they must be prepared to travel to The Colony as well as The Mem, so surely the intention is obvious. Cheer up you miserable b***ards!!

How had would it be for Wael/SH to give us an update re the UWE/Colony or even their intentions for next season?

"Negotiations on-going, August is the deadline."
if that got trotted out, imagine the fuss on here. People would be slitting their wrists
As for The Colony, we have a planning permission. obviously amended/new planning has gone in. Do we really need a 24/7 training ground watch.

Hell yes Peter; we need an update on every single vehicle/person entering the site. I am led to believe there are monitors on every single weed to ensure we know the whole nine yards! Don't we all just love the close season.

Surely it's far better to wait until things are finalised then provide the update. We know the plans for The Colony have been submitted, now have to wait for approval from SGCC - what more information do we need? With UWE, we know that negotiations continue and of course details won't be released until either the contract is signed or we leave UWE behind and start again to find a new site. Again, why do we need regular updates? As far as next season goes, DC is meeting the owners today, so the intentioms for next season might just become clearer following that meeting. The intentions, as always, will be to at least make the playoffs - hardly rocket science. Just as well Wael and SH don't read the forums - I'd be well p***ed off if I was one of them and read the negative stuff on here.

So where are the new plans hidden on the South Glos website? As far as 24 hour watch, I drove past yesterday for the first time since the Millwall match so it's hardly 24 hour watch !

P off with what, some fans would like to be kept updated with developments? If they can't cope with that how will they cope if we ever hit a dodgy patch, results wise! I must have missed the plans going in, when was they announced?
