What a top bloke the job is doing.
First of all he talked himself into getting the job at City. Then he created the delusion of grandeur amongst the club by stating that he "believes city will be in the Europa league within 5 years" and that he "loves the city and club".
Started the season off well to make sure they kept believing and to earn a contract extension (so it would cost them more to pay him off).
With full confidence behind him, he knew he could afford to go on a bad run and keep his job so he immediatedly went on a record 8 game losing run.
At fear of being rumbled at this stage, he knew he needed to do something to reinstate the board's confidence so gets a point against Sheff Weds, beats Rotherham and forgetting his mission he accidentally manages the team to take a 3-0 lead. Realising the mistake he has made, he changes tactic and ensure they end up drawing that game 3-3.
With confidence back behind him he knows he can afford to lose a couple of tough games vs Leeds and Fulham before again in fear of being rumbled he ensures City take a 2-0 lead way to Newcastle but is also fearful of failing his mission so changes tactics to end up drawing the game 2-2 (a good result against title favourites Newcastle).
He can then afford to lose the next game 2-0 against a strong Villa side. A must win home game against Burton but a must not lose game in terms of keeping his job ensures a 0-0 draw. Rumour has it he paid Tomlin a lump sum to miss the penalty, Tomlin duly obliges by blasting it over.
At fear of being rumbled, using the gift of the gab, he convinces the City board that it is in fact title winning/relegation surviving John Pemberton at the heart of City's problems. The board fall for hook, line and sinker. Lee's played a blinder here!
His latest game last night seen him take on a fragile Norwich side. Norwich take a 1-0 lead but again in fear of being rumbled especially as his assistant was sacked earlier in the day, he checks his phone to see other teams near the bottom doing well. So decides to make sure City get an equaliser.
Well done Sir Lee, your next mission comes on Saturday in a real 6 pointer away to Wigan. There was a feel good factor at the end of last night but you are still under pressure. Your Target is to avoid a win at all costs but try and gain a point or a plucky defeat so you don't get rumbled.
