Some progress at last but the most attractive of booking websites, couldn't the club produce something a bit better? Plus are ticket sales just restricted to the South West Stand, if so, how many students will want to take up this offer?

As it's a trial, I guess they want to play it safe in terms of the scale of the roll out to prove the technology, and I guess this is why the limited no of tickets and the south west stand being used, but I think this is a significant step in the right direction towards having a modern e-ticketing system that enables the club to reduce ticket admin costs, and also vastly increase the marketing and promotions that could be offered. The look and feel of the screen etc. could easily be improved once the processes are proven.
With this kind of technology presumably we can work out who is entering the turnstile and when, and if they don't attend for say 5 games a promotional price or deal could be digitally pushed to encourage them to go again, likewise loyalty credits for regular attendees. Really pleased this trial is targetted at students, hopefully families and also kids next - too many of us oldies in the west enclosure... I
Think this shows good forward planning for use in the UWE, and I think we shouldn't wait until or if that gets built, now is the time to take advantage of technology and also target students.

Are we actually engaging with the 21st century?

Are we actually engaging with the 21st century? It's just a trial. If it doesn't work we carry on with the 20th.

It's a step in the right direction. Our main ticketing website has been upgraded too recently.
All these little things, like the extra bars, the change from Errea to Macron (which makes us look like a club pushing for the championship and not a team flitting in and out of L2), the new young pirates facility which opens tomorrow, are stacking up and just looking at news articles a year ago to today makes us look like so much more the professional outfit. That's without considering the small steps each day with our training facility evolving.
It's exciting to think where we could be in two years time, especially if we can get the stadium underway imminently.

Gearing up for students? Reasons to be cheerful? A step nearer the stadium? I wonder?
