I believe that tomorrow is James last day at the EP reporting on The Gas.
Despite what some have said, he has served the club well and no doubt he will be replaced by some "spotty schoolkid" just starting out on their career.
I gather Andy Stockhausen is also moving to pastures new.

Maybe he could think about a career in journalism when he leaves the post.

At least the guy seems to get out of the office and talk to people, many BP stories seem to be rehashed from forums and social media sites which anyone semi-literate can do.

Blimey. As awful as the BP coverage became over the years, at least McNamara and Shitehausen could make sentences. The BP coverage from now on will just be cut and pasting from press releases and forums.

I follow his twitter page and he comes across well, passionate about football and loves the rovers. Shame he's leaving but not surprising given the standard of the BEP these days.

I echo others. The BEP has gone down the pan. I literally wouldn't wipe my ass with it nowadays. Sounds like it is only going to get worse.

The Bristol Post seem to print rumours from forums these days which is a far cry from when I used to buy the paper.
Also, they seem intent on printing rubbish to antagonise and fuel the flames of rivalry between us and City. As an example they said many gasheads were talking some comfort from the Bury defeat by enjoying Blackburn and Wolves' late goals - Of course many were, but is this the sort of thing that needs to be published by a so-called professional outfit??
There are many more examples of needless space-filling dross they serve up on a daily basis, would be nice if they went back to reporting and sticking to hard facts and face-to-face interviews.
They could do worse than give me a part time job, im sure I could do it all in my lunch hour.

He did say the job is getting harder as the club now want to keep any info to themselves so it is published through their own media department.

He's always struck me as a good bloke and if he's leaving the BEP then that's just another sign of the papers decline. Hope he keeps tweeting about the GAS. Every good wish for the future James...

That way the BP only pays them for their contributions, but has no other employer's responsibilities. I understand the BBC works that way with most of its newsreaders..........

Local rags have had their day, who wants to read about a local cat in a tree when you can read about global climate change, genocide and brexit for free elsewhere!
