Why would it be a shame as there was no official trip arranged for fans last year? Because it's obvious that the club don't want John and Stuart to do anything this year, which is ok if the club do. Last years trip to Sabadell was a brilliant success apart from the match result, so why not repeat it this year. Stuart has been booking overseas trips for all manner of sports for years, and as a gashead, was the perfect guy, along with JK to arrange a trip this year.so I don't understand why the club don't use their experience. Steve Hamer said that the club would announce what their plans were in 10 days time. That was 15 days ago.

Whenever the club get round to announcing this, can they please confirm that Gasheads can attend the game, it will not be played behind Closed Doors.
I ask as this has not been arranged by Stuart and John, it is solely down to BRFC. I suppose if some people give the club a chance to announce things, instead of getting the warm fuzzy feeling their pants for breaking the news, full details will be given at the correct time when things have been finalised. Yeah just like the UWE, oops!

Would that be before or after everyone has booked their summer holidays. The club said they would make an announcement in 10 days time 15 days ago. Is that the warm fuzzy feeling you are on about? The club said they would be organising something in early January. Hang on, I'm getting that warm fuzzy feeling again.

it's a pre-season friendly.! 1) you don't have to go 2)they are for the benefit of the team, not a jolly fo fans as such I refer you to the answers you were given on Facebook when you wrote the same crap on there. Last year was for both groups, as this years was supposed to be.

If you can make it, have the cash and want to go when its sorted, thats evevryones personal choice. If the dates dont fit it with people plans, oh well thats life isnt it.

Wrong forum Parker, the fun sapping one is the other forum ;-) are you sure. I see far more negative sh** on here than the other forum nowadays Go back to your own forum and post your wholly positive garbage on there. Does anyone still use that forum? I suppose 1 negative post on your forum out of thirty or so per month is quite good, whereas 20 on here out of about 3000 per month does equate to more negative posts even if it is lower as a percentage.

Does that mean that we are unimportant so ignore the friendly with West Brom in July together with any or all others they might arrange? I thought this club has recognised and values us the fans, so you are talking garbage sir. As for your last two points, do you really understand what you are going on about? They are both the criteria people use when making plans to go anywhere. It's not unique to football. Did you miss the bit where our chairman said he would let us know about the trip in 10 days time 15 days ago? Is that what you mean by being low priority to the extent of just ignoring us and breaking a commitment? All the club need to do is tell us whether there will be a match. If so, are we welcome or not, and if so are the club arranging a trip on our behalf or do we sort ourselves out. Its not rocket science.

Isn't that the point? if nothing is sorted then they can't tell you or anyone else
but as you are so connected and like to tell us thing perhaps you could find out

I can assure you Peter that I have, and that's why I've raised the relevant questions. How plain do you want me to make it?

Anyone know if you still get a warm fuzzy feeling even when your knickers are in a twist?

Its not rocket science. When, aside from last year, has any pre-season stuff been announced before early April? Who else has announced their pre-season plans aside from the Top 4 Premier League clubs going to the US? Personally I thought Sabadell playing here would be the next logical step, but if DC etc. feel a trip abroad is necessary for the squad I'd have thought it'll be done for the priority of the team rather than the fans. Which is how it works for the majority of clubs.

Wasn't last summer's game a bit of a one off rather than the expected norm for future pre-season games? Anyway, I'm not really sure what the OP's source is trying to gain by leaking this information to him before everything is finalised by the club?

Of course the playing of any game is done for the priority of the team, but DC loves to involve the fans. Ask him!

Anyway, I'm not really sure what the OP's source is trying to gain by leaking this information to him before everything is finalised by the club? I know I shouldn't fall for it Topper, as you have more time to spend on here than anyone I know, but here goes. No. what JK and Stuart hoped was to get a close relationship going between the two teams which was enhanced by the colours both sides play in. DC also bought in to it. It was set up on a plate for the club, and didn't cost Rovers anything apart from their air fare. Everything else was covered. DC thought it was absolutely brilliant in its organisation, and would have been quite happy to see it repeated. As I said previously, Stuart has organised sporting tours abroad for some years, and his level of knowledge is as good as most travel agents. He is certainly no 'back of a fag packet ' merchant. OP's source is not trying to gain anything. It was Our chairman who said that he would advise the fans about what was happening within 10 days. That was 15 days ago. Just giving him a helping hand.
